I was up till 4am this morning, I realised a little too late that I had miscounted a row of squares (9 instead of 10) so everythign was out of line...cue a lot of 'reverse stitching'! (D'oh!)
    *gets back to work*

I hate it when that happens, the other day I had one stitch where it was a row above where it should have been but I placed everything else around that stitch and of course it was all wrong. I couldnt decide whether to try and work it into the design or undo it, in the end I unpicked about 90 stitches in various colours! I was demented by the end of it.

Witchywoopiggy -I knew someone was doing dragon rider :D -I don't mind all the oranges..I did a big celtic dragon for my niece that was all in blues and even thought they were pretty shades I was still glad to see the back of it ;)
I have remembered that I REALLY should do my celtic noel next as then I will have done the set of 4  .... lets see if I can make myself be good and do it next

My soon to be 2 year old has decided to give up her afternoon nap since we put her in a bed 4 days ago so even that sacred time is gone now:eek: I think I will mourn the loss of the nap as much as I mourn the loss of the cot and the fact that my last baby is growing up so fast.
Right I think I better go to bed!

mine too (18 months), I used to get stuff done during his nap/ naps (2-3 hours total) then evenings for stitching. nooooo since Friday we have been wide awake at 6am, no naps the messing around at bedtime so by the time i actually have him asleep thats tidy time.

can't even leave him in one room while i'm in another as he can climb anything and everything.

ETA: as i wrote that he fell asleep on my lap (ok i fell asleep too) - so have put him in bed WOOP. gonna do a sink of washing up (made gingerbread with him this morning), sort the washing out then get some quality time with my stitching.

    challange:

I've just had a count up and have 200ish 10x10 squares of stitches left to complete this page of Charlies Ark (a tiny section of the whole thing, enlarged, not the orig page. but also have TONS (like 100) half stitches to do to complete the half already done. so can I please nake that my April challange.
"Finish this A4 page of Charlies Ark, complete and half stitches. Backstitch if time allows" thank you.

Wow, great amounts of work being produced...well done everyone!! :T:T

I am up for a challenge...bearing in mind I haven't done any of The Astronomer for over a month now..

I pledge to finish the first chart page, and get through at least half of the next one

...surely I will get away from all these confetti stitches!! It's what drove me away...that and sewing an All-Blacks rugby teddy birthday card for DS2. I also want to create a Scottish rugby teddy for him too...but not yet managed that ...:(

So I am up for it...at least I should get some work done in April, even if I don't achieve my goal...it is better to have one to aim for!! :D!

    Hi everyone,
I'd love to join this challenge, I love doing cross stitch. Last year I completed a colourful row of fairies (which my mum promptly framed and hung up in my room) and this Christmas just gone I was giving a 'Nightmare before Christmas' cross stitch (its my favourite film) which has lots of dark colours so it should be a challenge! I'm going to say I'm hoping to finish it before Christmas because with Uni work, I don't have a lot of spare time on my hands, and it usually takes me about a year to finish my cross stitches anyway hehe!
I'll get some photographs up of it so far this evening,
    Louise x
