Thank you in advance Bubbles for the DMC chart.
I won't take part in the challenge as I think I have a wee while to go in doing golden earth. I have decided tomorrow I am going to sort my magazines out right - find out what I am missing from the fire. (the fire was 3 years ago but I am slowly sorting through things). Also try and sort through some other stuff I brought up from my parents that I saved.
I might try and do a little kit here and there (the ones that come free with mags), just as a break from golden earth.
I didn't get any eggs either but I did make some french toast with eggs from my dads chickens.
Well better go - hubby in shower - then I am off to take him to work. Day off tomorrow - wah hey.
Kind wishes to all

PS Wonderful seeing everyones progress - I love the calender bears I remember when they came out I was tempted - the had series on cats too if I remember right.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Evening all, hope you're not all groaning on the sofa with belly ache after eating too many eggs.
I didn't have any but I have eaten a huge bowl of triple choc gateau!
Thank you to those who congratulated me a few pages back on the birth of my Granddaughter, I popped up on Wednesday by train to see her. She's sooo perfect. Needless to say my stitching has taken a bit of a back seat this week, I have only stitched twice, last night and today. I was going to take a weekly update photo but I am so close to finishing page 1 that I thought I'd hold out and do that tomorrow. It will then be exactly one month since I started her.

Bubbles -as *Louise* said ...sometimes the colours look really odd until they are all in place and then they look fine... here is what *louise* was on about....
My "forest light" at the start she looked like she had been "tangoed" :rotfl:
but here she is done..and the colours suddenly look right :T -even if I did keep double checking that I had picked up the right thread
I will updat my "golden earth" tomorrow..... would be nice if they would give me more than 2 stitches of any colour in any one place :rotfl:....
and bubbles-please don't feel that you have no right to be depressed over your own problems.... I have suffered with depression before in my late teens early 20s (not since thank god) ..... and there is no rhyme or reason to who can get depression or over what....so be kind to yourself
I think I have trundled through the last couple of years knowing that my sis would have kicked my a-s-s if I had sat and got down about her..and at least she is out of pain now -which is the main thing ...
Hope everyone has had a good weekend --6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

It was from Issue 125 of World of Cross Stitching, I said I would consult my stitching friends to see if anyone has it and could copy it. Any chance one of you has it? It i pictured below:
I havent got any stitching done so far today as my mum has bee around but should get some done tonight.
Bubbles I have it and I know as I cleaned my work box where it is. I'll never stitch it so if you still need it drop me a PM and I'll post it on to you.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -

They do, noticed it today along with an interesting Calendar Pigsbut today I discovered a tiger kit, 2 me to you kits and I ordered a HAED (!!!!!) so I have plenty to be getting on with!
PS I'll join your challenge... even if I don't finish by the end of April I should get more done than if I don't join!OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
I'll join the challenge to finish my flower fairy by the end of April, haven't done any stitching for the last 2 days though as we have been busy entertaining and then doing housework. I'm afraid I feel guilty sitting stitching if I can see something which needs doing:o so I have done all my ironing tonight and have throughly cleaned the hob and oven today too so should be able to relax a bit tomorrow and do some stitching- if the kids let me and don't poke their noses in! :rotfl:
My soon to be 2 year old has decided to give up her afternoon nap since we put her in a bed 4 days ago so even that sacred time is gone now:eek: I think I will mourn the loss of the nap as much as I mourn the loss of the cot and the fact that my last baby is growing up so fast.
Right I think I better go to bed!Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -

Hi All
Well thought I would pop in as Im currently on the look out for other crafts for Xmas etc and realised that I still haven't finished my tiger cub!!! so i think I would like to join the challenge to get him finished by the end of April and hopefully will have found another project to start on. I have a bit more colour left to do and then lots of backstitching and outlining basically but hoping to get it done - plus im sure at almost 7 months pregnant it will be quite therapeutic of an evening with my feet up. Will get a current photo up asapTime to find me again0 -
wow MrsM you have managed to do loads!
I'm struggling with my HAED at the moment, still not done my first 20 by 20 square, mind you I've only picked it up twice, I just wish the were mire than 2 flipping stitches of any one colour! But the next bit after this looks like it will be s bit easier so I guess I should just try and get this bit over and done with asap, joining in with the challenge will probably help but not sure what to set as my challenge yet so I'll have a look and try and work a goal out0 -
