    Hi All

Well this thread didn't take long did it! IT was on my list of threads to catch up on since Xmas and I never did managed and just refound you all now so will have to sit and read later.

This year Xmas is going to be a bit more stretched what with a little one due in July so need to make some handmade/home-made gifts this year.

Got to be said my covered diary went down very well with my nan to the point she's stolen my idea and is going to make some to sell at her church fetes to raise money for the church. So think I might make her another one of those and possibly make like a bill book for my mum and decorate it for her.

right will catch up later once little man is in school.

    love sammy

Just to say that I tried the knitting pattern for wristwarmers which was on a few pages back and it's fab! Made a couple for each of my daughters, and have now been asked to make them for 4 of their friends! You need about 60g of wool, so I've just been using up odds and ends, and you can do them in a night easily.
I'll definitely be adding some of these to my"winter warmer hampers", and they'll also be great for the school craft fair, as I reckon that I could sell them at £2 each

We so need a flickr page or something for all these gorgeous piccies!

Going to set aside a day to bookmark properly and jot down, I know I keep saying it but come the middle of the year I am going to be so lost :D

Loving all the ideas so far and am actually crafting for the first time this year! Wooo! So hopefully will be able to contribute a bit more soon!
:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin
  • O no, just had the Panduro Hobby catalogue delivered and its packed full of lovely things to make.

Theres sewing, crocheting, jewellery making, gift wrapping ideas and loads more.

The catalogue is £2.75 and can be ordered from the website.

I could go through the thread and post the ideas all on my blog if anyone thinks that would help? :o At least they would be in one place for reference?

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • that would be great jamtart!
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j

  • Ooh, I've been to the charity shop and found 'Harry Potter Inspired Knitting patterns' for £2. That was on my wish-list and I was thrilled to find it. I also found a book called Pretty Gifts, and it's full of little project, mostly simple ones, that'll be ideal for gifting when I start my 'Year of sewing' next year.

Every year I have new focus or two. I have had a 'year of gardening' when I began learning how to grow stuff, a 'year of the garment' when I began to look after my clothes and shoes really well. This year it's the 'year of knitting' alongside an Open University course.

If anyone else does this kind of thing maybe we could make a thread for it? Unless of course you think I'm loopy:rotfl:

Brilliant idea, but the time it would take!

My ever supportive partner bought me Simply Hand Made, a book from WH Smiths yesterday, lots of good ideas in it (....more ideas!). Not too detailed on the how-to but it's clear and most ideas are straight forward enough
