A few people have mentioned problems downloading the bear pattern. It's a PDF file, so you will need to make sure you have Adobe Acrobat reader (free doowload from here) which will allow you to open/view it.

Sorry if you already know this... :o
  • I am loving these ideas. I'm so busy with sewing at the moment but keeping up. Can't wait till I can post a pic of what I've made.

  • I know I have lost it... I today bought a baby desert in a jar... I have no children let alone babies... All because somewhere on this thread or the last one was a snowman poop jar...

It was quite tasty... apple, banana and apricot ... :D

Okay soap wise - if I make it for myself I don't need it to be certified do I?

Waiting until my coconut body butter is finished then ill be making some more.

Might look into mw bracelets. They look very classy and (hopefully) straightforward.

I really want to learn crochet though, have contacted the people behind "the art of crochert" to see if I can back order.

    Another soapmaker here. :)

Yes it would need re-certifying, as the composition has changed. The pre-cert can only be melted and moulded.

    This is correct :)

The soaps I supply are already fragranced and coloured and will stay to be certified when melted and moulded unless the user adds anything.

Nope, the regulations state you only need to have your recipes certified if placed on the "community market" either by selling or by giving them away.

Aww, I have a rapidly growing stash of baby food jars, my 6 month old has just started weaning and I keep squirreling the jars away for craft. I have even had to give them their own drawer now!

If anyone has made anything they saw on my HandMadeHeartFelted blog, I would love you to send me a picture that I can show next week! I have made two projects from there and I'm going to show them next Friday (see http://handmadeheartfelted.blogspot.com/2010/01/be-featured-on-handmadeheartfelted.html for more details! - if you don't make it this month, we'll be doing it every last Friday in the month, so plenty of time to join in :))

I made the scarf and the post organiser, they were really easy, even for a beginner sewer like me who doesn't know how to change to zig zag :D I'm going to give one scarf as a gift I think. It cost me about £2 to make in total, can't wait to take pictures and show you :D

I am loving all the gift ideas on this thread :D I actually thought the soap lollies were real!!! Amazing!

I did try and update mine to see if that works but no go :( I have plenty of time until Christmas 2010 and there are loads of free patterns on the web so i'm sure i'll find one suitable - need to back track through the threads as I noticed you'd mentioned which wool you had used :)

Nikki2804: I have ordered Art of Craft through their website and it is still letting you back order to issue one!! Says delivery is up to 4 weeks though and my order was 2 weeks ago - problem is I am not patient enough to wait!! I can't wait to get started on my crafting!! :o
