thats as much as i have done
i REALLY should try

Hi chaps
Just to say - for those (like me) who missed the best sale bargains, Tesco are still selling 1.5m red ribbon with a red ribboned bow for 24p each. So I've just got 12 metres of ribbon with eight bows for £1.92! I can do loads with that, even if it's only for decorating presents.0 -
Yes, it applies to any cosmetic products sold within the EU.
I wouldn't use soap basics personally... A friend of mine has been waiting for an order from them for 5 weeks now with no indication of why there is such a delay!
I sell pre-certified soaps for £7.50 a kilo plus P&P. Just PM me if anyone would like more info.

Hi kevin
Purely hypothetical question, i've not made any soap yet! If I bought pre-certified m + p soap but then added fragrance and colour etc, as I'd changed it, would it need to be certified again?0 -
ive printed off the stocking one now, i was dense i didnt see for looking! so ill have a go later.
Ive had an order of the 6 year old for wristwamers in red, so ive adapted the pattern for smaller ones, for here, and then stockings here i come!
thanks:A :j0 -

Another soapmaker here.
Yes it would need re-certifying, as the composition has changed. The pre-cert can only be melted and moulded.0 -

Hi All,
What a wonderful thread!! I lurked on the 2009 one but never really got round to doing much crafting. I did plan for doing some last year but just never happened with 2 jobs - i'm now back to one job so 2010 should be easier!!
Qwiksave: The snowmen buttons were brilliant - I think I am going to pinch this idea for my 2010 Christmas Cards ....
Li'l_p: That bear was absolutely gergeous - I'm disappointed my computer isn't letting my downlaod the pattern!!
I can knit (as a beginner) and have recently been given a lot of wool and needles from freecycle, I have ordered myself (as a birthday treat) the new Art of Crochet so still awaiting that and I also got a really good sewing machine from freecycle so I am hoping to get going any day soon!!
There is so much on this thread already that I have nearly everyone ideas - and with 18 people to sort that is a lot of presents!! :T
Thanks to everyone for all their ideas, I will be subscribing to this thread as I love crafting and I love Christmas!! What could be better?? :rotfl:£2 Saver # 40 & SPC # 1465 & VSP # 94 £101.47/£100

30 second bursts, and stir with something, i use wooden chopsticks
its like melting chocolate, it will retain shape until you stir, so keep an eye on it
i use quite big quantities, and seldom need more than 1 - 2 mins
spritzing it with surgical spirit disperses bubbles, which will happen, after pouring
Thanks for that I'll give it a whirl :T D x0 -

That's great, I love it!
I bet you could make it with strips of fleece instead of yarn, too.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

It was solidifying within 2/3 seconds. Normally lessI do have a tendency to talk about utter nonsense at the weirdest of times :rotfl:Happily Crafting away in my Fortress of Solitude (Bedroom)
