Wow!!!! 16 pages and its only the 2nd!
Can I join in too? I gatecrasher last year in the last coupe of months and ended up making quite a few snowman soups, pots of gold, reindeer flannels, as well as the larger Towel Pamper Cakes, and nappy cakes.
Am planning on doing more and starting earlier this year.... haven't started yet though.
In my local garden centre they had those pompoms you used to make as a child out of wool selling at £1.75 for one pompom!!!! Am thinking of making some f them to sell at fairs at about 50p each!
Love the ideas. Keep them coming.
ps does anyone know how to change your user name?
£1.75!!! Where they made from finest Alpaca yarn???
50p sounds like a great price to sell them for... especially if you could do a display of uses for pompoms ie have some tied to wine bottles, gift wrap tags, as pencil toppers, bag charms, funny creatures ( add felt feet and googly eyes)

Thank You wam73.:D
It took a while for the crocheting to click with me and I`m still trying to learn how to make Granny Squares so I can make a blanket.
Think I`ll stick to the animals and creatures for the moment tho!
Have you had a look on you tube there is a lady on there who has a tutorial for some cherries and this would give you the basic idea.

the £1.75 is what we call a lazy tax in our house. the people who buy things like that would rather pay that price than actually take 10 minutes and make their own.

I used to make pompoms with my Mum when I was younger and would always get real impatient wrapping the wool round desperate for it to get to the middle!
I`m keen to have a go at making some baby pompoms... yet another craft added to the notebook to try!:D

I am well and truley hooked on this thread and am hoping to make some handcrafted items for presents next cHristmas. Love the bows will definately have a go at those.
I have a magazine called Making Gifts which is pretty good for a first issue - issue too out very soon. They have the cutest sock owls which I will try and make. Whilst looking at a link from the mag I came accross this

Love the sewing kit and pin holder .... must make one for myself as I`m always losing my pins and needles!
Also love the teeny felt butterflies - I make something similiar as book marks with beads, sequins and bows sewn on. Was thinking these little butterflies could be glued onto pegs with a magnet attached to the back and used to hold notes/bills/ cards etc onto the fridge.
I`m going into craft overdrive - a few days without internet access due to decorating and I`m going craft crazy!

My best friend called over the other day with a gift for me in a fab felt gift bag.I still haven`t charged my camera up to take a pic but its similar to these just in bright pink with a character embellishment.
I`m going to work on a pattern to make my own which I`ll put on my blog.
