How about button hearts? Instructions here. They would make nice gifts for any occasion. They look pretty hung on cupboard doors or drawer handles.0 -
Can I join in? Am going to make a list of family etc to make for and then search for ideas. My family don't drink, eat fruit of any kind, like smellies or normal stuff!! So I'm thinking of making table runners / napkins etc plus hats and scarves for the men who I always find difficult to buy for. Any help appreciated. xxxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -

A friend of mine has a lovely bracelet made of buttons, they are sewn flat onto a length of ribbon, looks really effective and would be good for people like me who are allergic to the metal fastenings.
This seems to be a good site for pics of them, and the button flowers are really cute too!God is good, all the time

Hi,
Wow!!!! 16 pages and its only the 2nd!
Can I join in too? I gatecrasher last year in the last coupe of months and ended up making quite a few snowman soups, pots of gold, reindeer flannels, as well as the larger Towel Pamper Cakes, and nappy cakes.
Am planning on doing more and starting earlier this year.... haven't started yet though.
In my local garden centre they had those pompoms you used to make as a child out of wool selling at £1.75 for one pompom!!!! Am thinking of making some f them to sell at fairs at about 50p each!
Love the ideas. Keep them coming.

Oooo I love buttons.... A shop in my local village sells lovely button bracelets... some are attached to wire, and some sewn onto elastic and ribbon.
I reckon they would be easy to make and very "in"
