Here's a present that my DD is making/giving to her aunties and our friends for christmas.
Just need to purchase a laminator to finish off and tie on the tag.

    The wording:-

    WEATHER WALLY
    Hang him up outside,
    If he's wet, it's raining,
    If he's white, it's snowing,
    If he's stiff, it's freezing,
    If he's swinging, it's windy,
If you can't see him, it's foggy,
    If he's gone, you've had a hurricane!

That's lovely! The poem is great as well. lol.

    Candy -love the weather wally.........:T

Just have to think now where I can get some odd wool......not being a knitter I don't tend to buy it. I'll try the charity shops.

Need a brainwave............I had a baby tree delivered yesterday -very small- and it was in a little jute bag with plastic lining and drawstring top. Must be able to create/concoct something out of it but can't think what other than a santa sack but what on earth would I put in it ? It's about 6 inches tall....3 inches across.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Struck lucky in the charity shops and got two balls of wall in two shades of blue.........50p. So, I'm all set to start but not sure quite how.........do I just plait the wool ?

    Hi Mary,

It is made from 30 lengths of wool, 10 in each of the 3 colours (the length of each was just the width of my dining room table.
Tie a piece of wool around the middle of the lengths .... this will then form the hanging loop.
Pick up by the loop and bring the two sections of wool together, and arrange the wool into the 3 different coloured sections.
    You then plait as normal.
Tie a piece of wool around the plait to form the head, and another piece around the bottom .... trim to neaten.
Then the label again will be tied on.

    I hope I haven't confused too much :D

  • Just uploaded a few pics but realised that I am too much of a newbie to post pics yet. not fair!
Have done some magnetic pegs, a pamper cake, some cookie cutter gifts and a couple of other bits.
Will just have to keep making till I have posted enough things to get my pics on.....

Candy - thanks for that. I had a go last night and it looked ok then 16 yr old lad we look after wanted to make one so out came the wool again............lol
He'd never done plainting before and was really pleased with it when he'd done. Get the feeling they'll be a few more of these made..........lol

Todays efforts not been much..........assorted brown/cream socks are now rolled up in coffee cups hopefully resembling cups of coffee and I've re-done my Pint of Guiness that was a black scarf and a bath scrunchie with black socks and scrunchie (OH says he'll get some white socks tomorrow as scrunchie keeps trying to leap out of the glass..........lol)

Got tea towel out to finish off the border I was doing on it with the freebie fabric samples I'd had. Well, it was like using invisible cotton  I needed something dark as the patches are various shades of grey/black/rust but I'll get the proper back cotton I think -my eyes were popping out my head:eek:

    Thanks Mary,
Glad you both had fun making them.
I've lost count how many my DD has made now, trouble is she's costing me a fortune, I have to keep buying her more wool so she can do different coloured ones, still, I rather see her crafting than sitting glued to a 'DS' or computer like most, lol.

Haven't posted for ages but thought it was about time. Things have really taken off for me, after someone in work spotted my Snowman and Reindeer poop jar pictures on Facebook. I made them for family last year. Anyway, the orders have been flying in. So I made some updated versions and posted them up and now I have orders flying in!

I have also made some reindeer food (which I was asked for) and I am really please with so thought I'd share.
