    Hi Guys,

I have recently made a travel document holder to carry our passports and tickets, euro's etc in. I Thought i would share it with you guys as it may be of use if anyone is doing a travel hamper for anyone who maybe travels alot. You could also make a beachbag to go with it (I have done a tutorial to the one i made on my blog) and maybe a pouch for suncreams (again some pics of the ones i made on my blog if anyone is interested).

dizzytine - they look lovely............travel case is a brilliant idea:T

I've done nothing today due to stomach bug (OH had it end of last week -my turn now it seems:eek:)
Did manage to get another page of fam.tree scrapbook done for one of my sons though so time wasn't totally wasted.
Freebie fabric samples arrived........some very small but some reasonable size.............big enough to stick a patch on a couple of skirts for the winter for loafing about the house anyway.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

As was mentioned above, The Works do cheap scrapbooks, but browsing today I found these two reduced to £5 each and they include a 48 page pad of cardstock:

Good make (Making Memories) and if you don't like the colour of the front, recover it! ;)

Postage is free (2nd class), but there is a minimum spend of £10.

  • I've finally started something :D last night I started a cross stitch christmas card (that I bought to do last year :rotfl: )

I have been popping to the charity shop daily to have a poke around & the lovely lady there is keeping an eye out for a few bits for me ;)

I also had a sort out of my craft stores & try to have a tidy up there so at least I know what I have to work with now

I think today I will make a final list of what I need to make & for whom

qwiksave love the mini scrapbook you gave to your great granny in law, where did you get it from

Reading back on this thread doesn't make sense, it seems the moderators are being strict about the 'No linking to blogs in posts' rule! :(

So, quite a few of my posts have been deleted because I put a link here directly to my blog to show you what I've made. I don't sell anything or link to any commercial sites from my blog but apparently that is the MSE blanket rule - no linking to blogs in your posts. This does make it difficult when you want to show people things you've made in the past.

Just so you know, if you want to look at a person's blog you need to click on their username (sidebar left) and it will bring up a mini menu - one of which is, for example, Visit qwiksave's homepage. Click into that and it will bring up my blog.

If you want to add your own blog to your username go into User CP (Top Green Bar) and then 'Edit details' and under 'Optional Information' put your blog address as your home page.

Hope that's clear and if it looks as if I haven't replied to questions asked on here, I did but the post was deleted. :(

  • oh dear ~ i am not sure how OS my crafting is, i've just been into town and bought lots of supplies and spent a fortune  discovered a pound shop which was great as its all cheap but of course several items soon add up

on the bright side i have lots i can be getting on with now ~ although there seemed to be a shortage of pinking shears as every shop i tried had sold out this morning

qwiksave - love those scrapbooks............must resist temptation till I've finished the ones I'm doing........talking of which.........the scrapbooks I've got are a bit 'flowery' - and I got them cheap for my sons -whats the best/easiest way of covering them to make them look less 'girlie' ?

sarah - don't worry........bet you got more for your money than you would have done elsewhere.

Tummy bug on its way out so not been so bad today............not much done -button necklace I did the other week got in such a tangle it was easier (I thought!) to take it to bits and re-do it -so did that, got my flannels out..........made little snowman out of a cream one...........just folded with freebie soap inside, I'd got some tiny baby mittens (red and blue striped) perfect for a hat.........blue velvety ribbon for a scarf -just need right size goggle eyes now.
The other two flannels I was going to try and be clever and somehow wrap them round so both colours showed then tie with ribbon. What a carry on ! In the end I used the other two freebie soaps, wrapped them around them individually so ones dark burgandy with pink ribbon and pink flower on, the other is a pale turquoise, tied that with lace and popped a little embroidery motif on it.
Not a lot but makes a bar of soap and flannel look more interesting.

Fabric samples came today............A5 size.........be ideal for covering diaries or notebooks..............or something ???
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
