Been lurking and stealing ideas, Thank you everyone. made pots of gold last year which went down really well, but I also ended up buying lots too. Baby number 3 due in Oct and have really had to tighten belts this year due to OH job change so determined to make lots this year and not feel pressured to buy!
How far in advance can snowman soup be made? Have dug out sewing machine so hope to get few bits made that way. will keep watching for ideas- I'm not very creative.(Family of 5: 2 adults & 3 children aged 7yrs, 4yrs, and 18months)0 -
Hi Everyone,
I have just made the quickest and easiest handbag ever. It took less than an hour from picking my fabric to completing it. I think i am going to fill it with gardenening items seeds, trowel, garden notebook, seed labels etc and give it my dad as a garden hamper towards his xmas present. I have uploaded pictures on my blog and also a link to the tutorial if anyone is interested.V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
Hi folks
I've not been doing much crafting recently, life seems to be getting in the way!
I've collected some Pringles Tubes. i'm going to use 1 to make loofa soap (thanks midnight-raven!) and others to make little 'kits' (thanks Mary!)
One question though, how do you clean them? I wouldn't want my soap smelling of salt and vinegar crisps :eek:0 -

ALSO
I have decided for my sister - instead of a strawberries and cream comfy hamper that I am going to make her her own home management guide. She is always struggling with money, always getting red letters because she's forgotten to pay the bills, or she has lost a payment card, spends too much on brand name stuff, cant cook/bake, house is always a mess etc so whilst cleaning this morning (yes im aware its only 8.48) I found an old red file, a pack of ten dividers and a pack of 50 plastic wallets so I figure I could make one plastic wallet for each bill/payment schedule/payment card (ie water, council tax, tv license etc) then use a divider to separate and put a basic fly lady cleaning list etc.
Need ideas of what I can put the sections though
like i said i have 10 dividers but obviously don't need to use all of these
Im thinking
Contact numbers List - so her landlord, benefits office, tax credits etc
Calendar of birthdays (she always forgets!)
Bills is the next main one though
Shopping List
Basic Easy To Make Recipes (might put cooking and baking separately though and make sure to put about ways to use left overs)
Basic cleaning list
How To Use Star Drops, soda crystals, and white vinegar.
anyone else have any other ideas????
Sammy i have a home file which is currently in working progress but if you check out my blog later on today i will be uploading pictures of it.

All still in working progress but i am getting there and i'm sure your sister would love a home file to get her organised. have a look on my blog later for some pics of the file so far to give you some ideas. i have decorated each file divider and then laminated it to make it sturdy.V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
Hi everyone
just want to share my idea with you all
I can not throw away things as I always see another use for them. I saved all my sweet tins from xmas (even ''borrowed some from work :rotfl:) and I am turning them into craft tins.
I started by spray painting one then lined the bottom and lid with fabric, then I made a little padded cushion and stuck it to the top, then added a ribbon around the middle, now I have somewhere to keep all my cottons and a big pin cushionI have pic's on my blog if you want to have a look
I have smaller tins Im going to make into garden tins, and card making tins and one for my jewelry craft mad sister
I come from a crafty family, we all do some crafting of sorts, I love sewing, my mum is a card maker and loves her garden and my sisters love jewellry making.
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

The only trouble with de-cluttering is you find new uses for stuff and still can not throw it :rotfl:Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing
