I have been having terrible trouble with my blog, I would love a pretty template for it, but I just can't seem to get them to work properly, that is something I have planned. Thank you so much whoopi for the words of encouragement, I secretly was very pleased with my first attempt and so pleased that Poppy showed it to us all. I am going to make some more and put them away for Christmas. The bead shop that I mentioned in my blog is so cheap! I paid 15p for the 'handmade with love' charm and about 2p for the spacers. I did have some pandora type charms in my box of tricks. Let me know where you get your beads from and how many you order will you? I am not always able to get to town and would love some recommendations for good online bead shops that don't require you to spend a fortune.

For those of you who are making baking hampers for kids, I did a similar thing instead of party bags for my daughter's baking party. I picked up packs of 4 tea towels from Primark for £2.50, sewed down a triangle of material at the top of each, and then sewed on tape at the neck and waist to make aprons. I completed themby cutiing out the girls' initials from felt anf personalising each. They loved them, and there really wasn't much sewing involved (as I was doing it by hand)
That is a fab idea, I love the cooking hamper idea, and may do that for the girls next party, as em is 6 and her mates and her love to cook etc and fed up of a housefull of hsm stuff and sure the other mums feel the same!:A :j0 -
I've finished making a lined basket that I thought would be good as a container for girlie goodies. Bought the basket at a car boot sale for pennies. The fabric was left over from some curtains I made for my daughter's bedroom years ago and the wooden heart was painted to match the pink.
Now I'm getting the hang of this picture posting lark there's no stoping me!!!!!!!!!!:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hi everyone
If you are doing a food hamper for anyone and have a home bargain store near-by then maybe these t-towels might be fun to add. I got these to add to my son's partner's hamper (she loves bakeing). They are £1.47 for 3
Got it at last lol
