Oops I didn't know that, will remove mine again from siggy .

Thanks qwiksave, I have to resize my piccies before I upload as otherwise it takes forever :( I think my pc is on the verge of giving up the ghost :( That's why I do it beforehand otherwise I would be here all night :D

Yeah, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I've just checked the forum rules and links aren't allowed unless by board guides or are for charities. Maybe we could just put a signature that says 'Click my username for my blog details'

Oooh I forgot to mention, I went to the library today and they had a brand new copy of a great big book, 'Martha Stewarts Encyclopaedia of Crafts' - I gave it a hug in the library cos I was so pleased to see it! :o Should I be telling you this? :rotfl:

qwiksave - brilliant stuff on your blog :T Must have a go at some of those

Really is time I started to 'make' something...........I've done my cards, well some of them, made Easter gift boxes out of empty Mocha boxes, covered shoe boxes (3)............time I got down to doing something to put in these things.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Just found this on the Freebie Board

Haitian Ada has been designed by Alan Dart as a means of raising money for Haiti. The pattern is free to download but it would be good if people dontated money to the offical fund for the pattern.
Once you have knitted her up she can be sold and proceeds again donated to the Haiti fund.

I'm no good at knitting but it some of you might like it, it's so cute

Susan946 I'm loving the scarf, where did you get the pattern its adorable.

The scarf was knitted from a kit I bought from Black Hills http://www.blackhillswool.com/gifts_and_kits/2ply_scarf.html Black Hills have a small but utterly enchanting shop in Henley, not too far from here. Now I have my bus pass I can get to Henley without having to pay for petrol and parking.:j:j The staff in the shop are lovely, it is packed with irresistable goodies and I could happily spend hours in there. The only problem is that I always spend more there than I ought to!!! Talk about Grannies behaving badly!

I had wanted to get something easy for my daughter to knit. She learned the basics as a child but never got any further. Well, it wasn't 'cool' in those days, was it? Someone recommended the scarf as an easy project but I decided to try it out myself as I wasn't convinced. I'm so glad I did because, although the pattern wasn't difficult and was only 4 rows, the combination of the fine wool and fat needles made it difficult to see what I was doing and the stitches all too easily fell off the needles.

There is no reason why the scarf couldn't be knitted in lace weight yarn - or a 3 or 4 ply. PM me if you want more details of the pattern.

I've been very impressed by all your blogs. In fact so much so I decided to have a go myself. I haven't sussed out how to make it pretty yet, but I'll have a search and see if I can find any more templates. If anyone has any advice please let me know.
