I've eventually sorted out all my favourites and links to blogs etc... etc... its taken me all day and now my hands are numb but if anyones interested in the crafts I've fallen in love with they're all on the right hand side of my blog.

You never know I might even get round to doing some crafting and be able to take photos of my own work

Blimey Laura you weren't kidding. Going to leave your blog page open today and have a nosey through :)
As a "noobie" I have to say i LOVED reading through the whole thread and seeing all the lovlies people have been making

Also makes me feel a bit:oas i cannot sew or knit, all the things i make dont involve either

    everyone is so clever:j
and i so enjoy reading about like minded people, everyone i know seems to LOVE getting presents from us, but do look at me like i have 2 heads when i start talking about my next idea, or ask them to keep me something they usually throw out:D

I can't sew, knit or crochet either so don't be :o I am aiming to learn those 3 or at least start this year plus learn to home cook more... but am a paper crafter mostly.

I know that 2 headed look... or even worse, the glazed over look! It's when they have fallen asleep with their eyes open with just the bit of dribble to give them away that you have to worry! :rotfl:

  • I really dont think i have the patience to knit

under the stairs, i have my grans old singer sewing machine
and the only thing i used it for was to run paper through, no thread, both ways
i made perforated stamps to play post offices with:D

oh and i made a bread bag last year out of 2 teatowels

    thats it
its an old basic, but electrified machine
    i should at least try

Well done to Liesa and Sammy Kaye for launching their blogs. I've had great fun following a number of blogs recently.

Been a bit limited on what I've achieved as I have a horrendous back at the moment. I need to photograph the lacy scarf I've managed to finish and also some stuffed fabric hearts. I'll try to get that done and upload.

    Take care everyone.

Bought some great bits of material from John Lewis in their sale yesterday, and with one piece I am going to hand quilt a bed duvet quilt for my sister. I sized the wadding, back and front today, and have been tacking it all together. I think it'll take till Christmas to do as the design is quite ......errrm..... challenging. Have paused now for a break to have tea and hot buttered crumpets - an essential addition to any craft day I say!

          1. Yesterday I baked some cakes cause it was DS's birthday. I used simple recipes from my trusty old be ro cookbook. This got me thinking that I should buy copies for my friend and my daughter. It's available here for £1.50, well worth the money.

So today i thought that I could put the book in some baking hampers for Christmas! I'll start to look out for cheap cake tins, aprons (could even possibly try making them!), tea towels, wooden spoons, whisk etc! Not sure yet what to use for containers? Large seive perhaps? Basin for washing up :rotfl:Any ideas?

Sounds like a great idea. I'd put the things in a large mixing bowl.
          3. I'm on a roll today :rotfl:

Gift in a jar recipes to include in hamper!

Can anyone help? I just cannot post photos in my posts. I get as far as a box with a red cross in it .......... but no photo.

I've been through the FAQs and found info about putting your photos in an album and then inserting them in the post. So....I need to start an album and the link is on the User CP screen....but.........I can't see the link.

I notice I am not allowed to post attachments. Is inserting a photo classed as posting an attachment?

            Feeling so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!

The album that you've got your photos in, is it at a site like flickr or photobucket? Because that's where you need to have them. Then you paste the url of the picture in the box that pops up when you click on the picture icon at the top of the reply/post box.

If it's something you've made then what I do is resize them so they aren't gigantic (I use paint or pixresizer) and then host my piccies on Photobucket - they usually show up then. If it's a photo on another site I post that link. I don't think you can have albums on here - at least if you can I didn't know about it. :):o
