Happy Christmas everyone
Well i'm up before everyone else, been awake for over an hour so thought i might aswell get up and enjoy the peace and quiet
Yesterday was manic, cleaned the house in the morning and made gluten free cakes for hubbies xmas trifle, part made said trifle.
Then i had to go to work, store was absolutely packed but everyone seemed to be in good moods which made things easier, i completely surprised myself at how well i coped with the crowds, i get quite horrific panic attacks around large groups of people but i was fine. Was absolutely exhausted by the time my shift was finished tho.
Spent the evening helping hubby assemble the kids bikes and finishing off wrapping presents.
So glad i prepped all the xmas trimmings last week and froze them, all i had to do last night was get the stuffing balls, pigs in blankets, parboiled potatoes in goose fat and bread sauce out of the freezer to defrost.
So now i just sit here and twiddle my thumbs til the kids wake up!
Hope everyone has a lovely day0 -
Morning all! up early to stick gammon on - have woken up OH for his stocking but it seems i've been naughty this year - no stocking for me
I don't think they really go in for them in his family. dd(13) is up and about and we're both waiting for dd(20) and dgs(5) to arrive with breakfast. None of mine ever got up before 9am and that was with a lot of coughing, door slamming and toilet flushing from me and their dad - dd(20) has been up since 4.30 LOL.
We are also awaiting the arrival of Mr CaringSharing and his gf - note to self - today is a day of goodwill to ALL men .... and their gfs - and baileys for breakfast is prob not going to be a good idea today. Switched my CRISIS shifts from afternoons to nights so will have a nice relax tomorrow before I have to go. Have brilliant days all
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Happy Christmas everyone.:xmassign:
DH brought us up a pot of tea earlier and DDs are still asleep. Might take down the presents and add them under the tree but don't want to wake everyone.
DDs insist they will do the cooking today and seem to be looking forward to the idea.
DD(15) insists she will not eat duck (as it is a three bird roast that should be interesting)
Stockings are on the kitchen table for Dds once they all wake up.
Thinking of Janet, Tristam, pennypincher, smokey and family, grumpy and Cranky and hope things go as well as possible.
Going to tiptoe downstairs for a coffee and some fruit before the house gets hectic.
Gentle hug to everyone"This site is addictive!"

Morning all:santa2:
I am still sitting in bed with my coffee (and the springy bobs:o) enjoying the peace and quiet. Children are at their dad's and won't be back until 3'ish. My sister and niece and driving up from Brighton late this afternoon and we will be having our 'Christmas Day' with mum and dad tomorrow. So not much to do today except eat, drink and be merry. Will take the dogs to the woods later and pre-prep the veg for tomorrow.
Just wanted to wish you all a peaceful day, with special thoughts to those missing a loved one today. Thank you all also for your love and support over the past year. I decided to take my life in hand around about this time last year and discoved MSE and you have all been with me every step of the way this year. I haven't made huge inroads into the debt mountain this year because of the house move but that, in itself, is the first major step to recovery. Watch me go next year!!!!!
With lots of love to you all ......
