My clearing the cards and saving for a holiday diary

Hi all, Bought lovely new stuff for work yesterday and am really happy with that outfit. Came to £43.75 with my discount which is fab.
Need to do some cleaning today and also meeting a friend later. Did really well with food budget last month but was bored by the end so having a look at changing things this month.
So far my meal plan for the rest of the week is:
Sunday: Salmon and soft cheese with breadcrumbs and peas
Monday: Sausage Casserole with Yorkies
Tuesday: Dominos night with girls from work
Wednesday: Stuffed chicken breasts with soft cheese and streaky bacon
Thursday starts my new week so will work more out then!
Done a load of washing and some handwashing so far and need to clean the bathroom thoroughly as I'm having the girls from work round this week. Work is going really well again and have an extra day off this week as holiday.
Budget all done and had budgeted £50 for work clothes, £20 back to a friend, 3 weeks with £50 and 2 weeks with £40 fun money after all my bills and bits but then Mum gave me £40 for Easter so have reshuffled to have 2 weeks at £50 and 3 weeks at £40 fun money and paid off a storecard!
VERY generous of her and just a great feeling to get rid of it. Thinking I may fancy a buying a few non - work clothes this month so going to look in warehouse and Oasis sales as I still get discount there too and can probably take the hit on my fun budget as long as I realise that i can't have clothes and be out all the time!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hi Souk
You sound really organised! My month starts on Wednesday when I get paid and I need to be really good this month - March has been a really bad month for budgeting

Hi all, Had a nice day off though had a horrible hangover from last nights pizza and wine sesh with some of the girls from work!
Got a haircut (£15 trainee cut) and bought some cheap lamb that I've put in the SC. It was only £2.90 and will do 4 meals as a stew. Also bought a few more of the Somerfield 19p fajita sauces to stock up while they're on offer.
Did a quick run round Aldi too and got some jacket spuds and mushrooms for 49p each and also some plain yoghurt, tinned toms and oatcakes. Need to meal plan when I'm going to eat what so that I can come in under budget again this month and have a bit more variety in my diet.
Got a date lined up for Friday. He sounds fun!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Aargh! Had a bit of a wild night with an FWB and spent a bit on booze. This month is very tight and I feel a bit stressed about it.
Going out with my sister's friend and her little twins tomorrow which will be fab and having a friend over for pizza and wine tomorrow night. This will all be cheap as going to Wetherspoons for lunch and just buying a few pizzas and a bottle of rose for my friend then I need to be frugal for a bit! Wont be hard as working all weekend anyway then having another mate over on Monday for tea and going to Mum and Dad's for a few days. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0
