Hey all, off today and went to shopping centre to meet mum and dad. She FINALLY agreed to go into a wheelchair and had a fab day!

I'm going to look at a flat this week. Only got asked this morning by my friend if I would look at it but I will. It's in the West End (fab area, great pubs, resturants and charity shops), 5 minutes on the tube to work, 2 minutes to the tube station and a LOT less than I pay now. Going to look anyway and see. This flat is amazing and two minutes from all the fabby bars but it aint cheap and just lately I have been thinking about a move. I could be around £175 - £250 a month better off depending on bills! Only thing is I don't really like sharing but she is very calming and did say a while ago to her that she was the only person I would contemplate living with.

Cheap day today as Mum gave me a tenner and I wont need to lift money as I haven't been anywhere to spend it in the last few weeks. Fab FWB from down south is up the last week of the month and I have a gig thing then as well but until then it's kind of all work. Oh apart from a few ciders with gay mate later and going to my mates for dinner tomorrow night. Haven't seen either of them for a bit so will be good to catch up. X

Flat sounds fab (and the extra money!) but are you sure about sharing? Have to say it is something I have always shied away from - like mine own space too much!

I always thought you were in Scotland :o sounds like you are in London!

I'm in Glasgow Shoesy! I shared while I was away a lot and do LOVE my own space but am willing to give this a go. Haven't shared in the real world (ie not repping or ships) apart from with my sis 10 years ago and that was fine. Been 2 and a bit years here on my own.

I've got a lot to think about I know.

I've always shared, I live in London and to not share is really expensive.

I've had both good and bad experiences of sharing.

I think the things that make for a good sharing experience -if you are friends, you also have other friends outside of each other so that you aren't in each others faces all the time. That makes a big difference, if you are out on seperate things you don't get fed up with the other person and you get breathing space.

Also similar attitudes to the basics like noise, cleaning, boyfriends, food etc.

I know you are a clean freak - is your friend the same?? You might have to give a bit in terms of the odd magazine left on the sofa or coffee cup in sink.

Will you have your own bathroom? If not, do your schedules clash?

I have to say though, if you are better off by £200 a month that would bring your DFD much closer. You could maybe do this for a year and then go back to single living afterwards??

I know we've painted a rubbish picture of flat sharing on SAID but if you know this person well you will know if she is likely to be guilty of any of these things!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

She's a doll. She's my sisters friend who i have seen a lot more over the last few years. She's VERY different to me i.e a pagan, a veggie but thus has lots of interesting friends and does lots of interesting things. I have told her before that she is the only person i would consider living with if I had to!

The clean bit, I don't know but I'd have to be a bit more chilled! Own loo I don't know and her work would probably start later than mine. Think we're viewing Sunday!!!

Great news on potential flat move, sounds like a fun place to live too .

I've shared in the past, first time was great, & we worked together too, both had very similar party, party, party lifestyles so there werent really any issues about anything :D

Second time was a complete 'mare. Any chance you can visit your firned in her place now to get an idea of how she lives ?

Glad you're going to have some fun with an FWB - but hands off the southern boys, there arent enough decent ones to go around as it is :p:rotfl:

Glad your mum agree to be wheeled about, so much less stressful for her :)

Cool, keep your options open and all that.

I guess your friend could burn some sage to get rid of all the bad energy though right??

Eh? All that is her domain, not mine! She can burn away, as long as I can have my boys round!

Good overview from makeup :A Like she says, if you get debt free you can always move out again if sharing is not for you :D
