Tesco barbecue BBQ Rib Bucket (pork ribs in a smoky barbeque flavour glaze) 600g, printed on label £2.96. Extra stuck on label reading buy 2 for £5.

SEL said something like "save 74p, price now £2.22".

No problem with R&R for six packs - £17.76 returned and the ribs are on the barbie as I write.

So instead of being charged £2.22 a bucket, you were charged the full price per bucket or £5.00 for 2.

Six buckets were listed on my receipt. At the bottom I received a multibuy saving of -£2.76. So I was actually charged the £5 for 2 price, but refunded the full price. I didn't notice this until I was sitting in the car trying to slow my breathing and stop my pulse racing. I was reading my receipts and for one mad moment my hand reached for the door handle to go back and tell CS they had made a mistake ...... but I didn't want to make myself too memorable, did I?

But I'm glad you noticed. Have you ever thought of getting a job in Tesco CS, that would soon cut down some of the shennanigins going on here!

Noticed my first R&R for myself over the weekend...
Diced turkey thighs. SEL 2.96/kg, sticker on pack 3.26/kg. Bought two packs, both R&R'd no problem and a smile, and apology!

Also noticed a couple of whole chicken products that were mispriced, but being a student not sure if I could cook a whole chicken! lol

What should I put in here that won't upset people.........
  • Bought 2 packs of Chicken Mini Fillets at Hemel Hempstead priced at £2.99 SEL stated £2.97.
Querried at CS she says the price on your bill is the same as price on product,I then got her to go with me to check the SEL & she sais she would have to go & see the manager. She returned 10 minutes later & tried to fob me of with "the barcodes are different" & that it was correct. I stood my ground & eventually she offered a full refund on one pack only. By this time I was getting hot & accepted. Sure that if I held out I would have got a refund on boyh packs. Still every little helps.

I was in Berkhampstead today and was overcharged on some steak sel said 9.48 per kg and pack said 9.77 per kg (no reduction came off at till) I don't think they have ever had to do R&R there as they didn't know what to do, fisrt they tried to reduce packs by £1 for me than I pointed out policy, she had to go back to manager, he said yes, then I had to queue as CS/10 items or less desk(small metro store) and finally got my R&R - I felt like a criminal!!!
anyway free steak for tea tonight which is nice, I wish though that these customer service guys would realise that it's their policy not ours!!!!

Tesco chicken drumstick packs, SEL £2.49kg pack price £2.59kg.
Tesco frying steak £5.57 Kg, big yellow signs saying £4.98 kg.
Refund on both. Tried to tell me if they gave me R&R they'd 'get into trouble', because it has to go in the book as waste!
