I'm amazed by how lucky you've all been with your grab bags!
I went in to out local shop boxing day-all the decent gift boxes gone & the grab bags didn't look up to much either.
Tried again just over a week ago-they'd sold out of grab bags, were expecting delivery in a couple of days time but weren't very hopefull of it arriving & had no idea what would be in it. They did offer to save me a grab bag IF any stock came in but I wasn't sure when I could get back in to collect it or if it would be worth my while if I did.
This is the second year in a row I've felt let down by the Lush 'sale'.:(0 -

I have to admit I am amazed at the different experiances people have had. The shops seem to do whatever they like.
I have read on this and the Lush.com forum of shops either having loads of the hatboxes and some having none at all. Some giving grab a bags away with only £18 worth, mainly soap, some saying they do not have enough stock to do the offer at all, some using current or retro stock instead, some limiting people to 1 hatbox per purchase, some letting people fill there boots (car boots that is)! with hatboxes.
Now in the last few days of the offer, some shops have nothing, some are offering people a £30 grab bag or 3 £10 to £15 giftboxes!
IMHO this simply is not on. I was lucky enough to go the day after boxing day and got 2 large boxes and a grab a bag so my Lush stash is full again till next Christmas (well at least Easter!):rotfl: but I am still very jealous at the boxing day looters and feel very angry at Lush on the behalf of people who got a very poor deal or none at all!
I am going to write to lush and also put my simple idea for next xmas to them.
Sell Hatboxes/giftboxes 1/2 price
Get a £20 bag of loose xmas stock with a £20 purchase of NON xmas stock0 -
I agree something needs to be done so Lush treats all it's customers the same.
There are also the lucky ones who get loads of free samples all year round. I've never even been offered one-unless you count a SA washing my hands with some soap then rubbing a Glitterbug all over my arms, making me look like a vampire!
Such a shame, I told dd that we could get some Lush goodies after xmas as a special treat as she LOVES it..she's so disappointed.0 -
I guess it really does depend which store you visit..my local lush is not very good and the grab bags have been just about £20... so I do go to another lush when I visit my mum...there is a totally different experience there and its all down to the staff in individual stores. Although the other shop is 15 miles away ... I will happily travel the distance for a better experience.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
Just got back from merry hill and no grab bags there - sa said wont be getting any due to new offer on monday (the £12.50 head to tow one or whatever its called!!) - bit gutted as was taking the chance as grab bags may be bigger n better towards the end with them trying to get rid of stuff, but my greed has lost out this time!!! Saved myself £20 that didnt really need to spend... well saved it until I popped into river island0

If it helps anyone, the Bath store has 20-30 grab bags left. I got one today and it had in it;
Snow Fairy gift box
2 honey bee ballistics
creamy candy bubble bar
karma buble slice
big blue ballistic
I was really chuffed! Hope this helps someone!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
Well I have writtten a lovely letter to Lush voicing my amazement at the variation of offers throughout the stores and although I think its fair that 1st come best served is fine, as in the hat boxes, what is unfair is some branches allowing 1 each, some allowing 10 and some not even having any in stock.
Also I have voiced my concern that a lot of stores are handling the offer very differently when they get low or run out of stock. If I get a reply I will let you all know.
Anyone know if Covent Garden have any left?0 -
Anyone know what the oxford one had?A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j0
