Bloody Morrisons

Sorry but couldn't resist - please point out to me where I have been slanderous towards Morrisons ??
"Bloody Morrisons"
Implying they are useless and causing you misery so you want compensating for it.
Oh, and Merry Christmas back.
I too would be pig sick in finding an empty can too, but that's life.0 -
Should be LOADS of compensation as:-
- Your human rights have been denied with respect to happiness and enjoyment of a can of Stella
- There is a shock factor to consider (NO STELLA!)
- Access to drinking denied by empty can
- Transport of empty can from place to purchase to place of (non) consumption and then return of said
- Possible wear and tear on knees, feet, plastic bags etc
- Possible damage to reputation - you COULD have had someone around and asked "Fancy a can of Stella?" and then offered the empty can.
- Health and Safety -you COULD have tried to drink from the empty can and ended up with wind from swallowing non-existent Stella
- Charges due from refrigeration of empty can - waste of electricity
- Transport charges of can to be recompensated.
- POSSIBLE case under goods packaging act of 1547 - did the case state "MAY CONTAIN EMPTY CAN"?
- May have lead to divorce, no lager leading to sobriety and realisation that wife is a dog...
PS
My cut from your compensation will be started at 30% due to supply of wise advice - please submit immediately in cash....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Were you in front of me in the till queue at Morrison's a few years ago?
Were you the man of a certain age who was returning a roll of Toilet Paper?
Stating that the packaging stated "50 sheets"?
And that you had counted the sheets in the roll and that there were only 49?
Wanted compensation?
Honest truth this one - how do I pick those queues?I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Oh dear - not getting any at home or PMT perhaps ??
Was hoping for a grown-up reply but ne'er mind eh
Others have received vouchers etc to spend in store when complaining of such issues and was hoping for a grown-up reply but ne'er mind eh
Ignore them, you are right. You do deserve compensation. Morrisons have treated you abominably by selling you an empty can.
You should be pushing for at least £25-£50 for your time and trouble. Your time has a value and so does your mileage. If they refuse demand to see the Manager. Morrisons only charge it back to Stella so they do not lose out.
If they still argue you could try Radio 4 Moneybox or Watchdog although I think they have bigger fish to fry.
Know your rights, push it."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
If it is only one can, I would do nothing frankly, if however there are say more than 4 cans I would take the lot back. You should get a replacement, and it is possible you might get a voucher, especially if you deal with them with understanding that they were not the ones at fault.
Frankly it's not the end of the world, and I don't think you would get very far demanding compensation for time and petrol.0 -
Hells Teeth, yet again every man and his dog start squawking the MINUTE anyone says they've had a sub-standard item/service and asks - politely (can't say the same for many of the replies!) - if they might perhaps be entitled to anything over and above a straight exchange ! What is it with you people that you have to be so patronising?
The real answer is that you aren't ENTITLED to any COMPENSATION! What you might reasonable expect is a small ex gratia gesture such as a couple of pounds gift card - to make up for your time/petrol and also as a concrete way for the store to emphasise its apology. There is nothing at all wrong with that , its nothing to do with compensation or anyones unrealistic expectation of thousands of pounds for something silly.
I know mistakes happen but I have worked hard for my money and I expect good value/properely prepared goods. If something isn't quite right then I expect the store to correct things - and a little something extra is always appreciated (but never demanded as a right).ELITE 5:2

Bought a 24 x 440ml pack of Stella from our Morrisons last night, started to unpack it into the fridge and the first can I got hold of had no bloody Stella in it ie an empty can with the ringpull firmly in place - NIGHTMARE
Going to call back into store after work today but wondered if anyone had taken stuff back and what they got in compensation for their time and effort ??
"NIGHTMARE" indeed.
Tell me, have you considered going and having a good dump? Might help sort your problems out0 -
If something isn't quite right then I expect the store to correct things
As one of the earlier ones 'squawking'
I also would be surprised if when informed the Super Market would not have replaced the item.
BUT
quote 'and what they got in compensation for their time and effort ??
Do it the next time you shopped there, so no extra time/effort required.0 -
sell it on Ebay as a limited edition 0% version0

I had one of those once, I was amazed and went around showing all my mates when they came around.
Think I just opened another one?0
