Not that he deserves nice food to eat, after tantrumming all round asda cos he saw a kid drinking out of the same cup as his!!
SS, glad you arent too disappointed xx
Was it his manly pink cup?
I'm a little bit disappointed but at the same time I want to give Molly at least a year of boob milk if she'll keep taking it and pregnancy would make that quite difficult, I think.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

SS - Sorry it wasn't a psitive, but you sound as though you aren't too upset.
Just sent dh the chippy, I am exhausted and really can't face cooking! I really need a bigger freezer then I can have loads of 'ready meals' in there that just need zapping!!! My mum has a huuuge chest freezer in her garage too, it's just I can't be bothered clearing our shed to fit it in. I managed to get the curtain poles up and curtains hung, in both rooms, am very pleased...Now have electric planer so door should be up tomorrow!!!
Becles - that pic is fantastic!! Where is that train my boys would LOVE it!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Hi all...
Well, the rumours were true.. new boss really is all for "yeah, work whatever whenever you like"!! :rotfl:We were looking at my new office space, and he was all "Do you want a new wall in here? We could block that area off if you like" He's going to get the heating fixed for me, order a new PC and phone (cos the ones on the desk are old and he wants me to have new ones!
), and said I can order any new furniture I want.. woohoo!
I think I'm going to work Mondays and Wednesdays, then either the Tuesday or Thursday depends on what's on that week. Going to email him that tonight and see what he thinks. He only suggested one fixed day a week though so I reckon he'll agree
I'm going to start my KIT days after Easter, some in old dept, some in new. Temp cover (now permanent!) lady is off for six weeks, mid-April to June, so I'm going to go in and help with May payroll (ladybird, expect a phone call!), and also arranging to do some days when new dept have meetings so I can attend and see what they're like and get used to the new words
All in all, a good meeting
Mum is taking Dad out for tea tonight so she'd going to drop Rhys off in a bitHe's been fine after his jab this morning

Becles i love the train pic - it's pretty bad that i live round the corner from it but i've never taken my son to see it
I don't even know how to get close to it, i've only seen it from the main road when driving past.
Mel it's in Darlington - apparently trains are our claim to fame cos of some dude called George Stephenson who used to be on the £5 note, something to do with it being the world's first passenger rail journey
Feelie - why couldn't your OH eat his lunch anyway? I'm sure the HV couldn't care less. I agree with what Sami said and also it seems clear to me that you are isolating yourself, which is a slippery slope IMO, i've done it. Although not to the extent you seem to be. Please don't go down that route, you've done amazingly well to recognise and arrange the help you need, don't throw that away when it's there - it seems hard now, with all the arranging etc, but it's surely a step forward, you may end up in a rut and in a place where that help feels impossible to get. x
Well i went to Boots to look for the steer and sail playmat but they had nothing left - except hot chocolate sets and FCUK gift sets  Wish Amber was staying in size 1 nappies a bit longer though cos i hadn't realised they have the Huggies sets half price with wipes and changing mats. Got some £1 Huggies wipes though.
Then i went to visit a friend i used to work with - i'd seen her FB wall and seen that she's pregnant, single, and homeless - but has been put in temp accomodation by the council. So i sent her a message offering help, support and some company which she seemed to really appreciate and invited me over this afternoon.
I didn't know her very well at work and the conversations we did have were usually her preaching to me about god etc .
Anyway it was good for me to stop isolating myself and get out and about, so i'll visit her again, think we both need the company.0 -
Noooo, the manly pink cup has been relegated to the back of the cupboard cos it requires so much sucking his little cheeks go in!! :rotfl: it was the bog standard TT basic flippy spout one, he loves it and will quite happily drain it within a few minutes!Mummy to

sorry all, still catching up
Finn was golden boy on our "day out" (not as much, we just took the train into central London & back!) except the only time he fussed was when I popped into work to show him off!
WELL annoyed as one of the primary reasons we went out was the spend the Baby Gap vouchers I got from work peeps. Picked out the clothes and everything, got to the till to pay and the woman says we can't use our vouchers b/c it was a Gap inside of House of Fraser!!  I wouldn't be so annoyed if we hadn't spent 20 minutes picking out the clothes, finding the right sizes, etc (i.e. maybe they should have a sign?!) only to go away empty-handed. AND now we have go find another Gap that is far less conveniently located
Feelie -about the HV. wish the service in your area were less crap, hon
SS - awww sorry, but at least you can see the positive re: BFing Molly
Beenie - good on you for giving ex the boot! STAY STRONG and keep him away!
we're having spicy oven-roasted chicken with jollof rice for dinner (courtesy of DH, I should be scared!:T) then going to some friends' for coffees after. They have a 10/11 month old, so should be very weird to see him next to Finn!
