Elle - hope you don't mind me asking but in the first picture of Rhys, why is his leg strapped to the side? Is it because he had a drip or medication going in?0

Evening everyone,
Not had chance to catch up except for the last page.
So hugs all round.
The playgroup where I want Katie to go phoned tonight, they are sending me an application form for me to complete. She is going to have a couple of settling in sessions before the summer break ready for September.
After discussions with DH we have decided to send her half days Monday to Friday. Mornings Monday, Wednesday and Friday and afternoons Tuesday and Thursday so that she can still go to her toddler groups.
Then in September I have to start school applications :eek:, fortunately I am almost guaranteed a place at my first choice school as it is linked to the church we attend I just need a letter from the minister confirming that.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Lol Glam I just saw ur message!!
Hi everyone!! I havent caught up so hope everyone is well. I went to my first baby group today, called baby PEEP where we sang songs and did hand actions etc with our babies. I really enjoyed it, think Toby was taking some of it in, but was more interested in looking at the lady next to me, lol!!
Can I ask a quick BF question. Toby is now 9 weeks old and the last few days my nipples have got soooo sore, when he latches on it is super painful for a little bit then eases thank god!! I can see a sore bit on each nipple and have been putting lansolin (sp?) cream on. The thing is, I am not sure why this has suddenly started happening 9 weeks in. Could it be where he is getting older and more forceful when he feeds?
Has anyone else had this happen? I guess I am asking for reassurance that it will get better again and stop hurting soon!! I did consider trying the rugby hold to see if that would help if he was latching on from a different angle? I am pretty sure he is still latching on correctly. Thanks in advance!!Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -

Caitlin's the same at bedtime. Sometimes she's completely awake, other times she's only just awake but either way, she settles fine (although last night and tonight she's woke up just over an hour later screaming. Very unlike her)
I wouldn't say like... sometimes it's just the most eloquent way I can find of expressing my outrage. I've never yet actually set someone on fire.yet?

No, I haven't... really must do! Keep buying the chocolate then eating it!chopsticks wrote: »Elle - hope you don't mind me asking but in the first picture of Rhys, why is his leg strapped to the side? Is it because he had a drip or medication going in?
Course I don't mind! It's not strapped to the side, it's resting up on the gel sausage which made a ring around him, covered in a sheet. He has a splint on it (foam blocks and velcro straps) which was to keep his ankle bent at the same angle, so he didn't dislodge the canula in his foot.
That would have been a drug one in his right foot; TNP (nutrional fluid they have before EBM) was in left foot; thingy to take blood out was in his right hand (he had hourly blood gas tests where they took 0.2ml of blood a time) and another drug one in his left hand.
ETA: just looked at the pic again.. he hasn't got anything in his left hand or foot! The above is that he did have for the majority of the time
That pic was when he was a day old so was before they started [STRIKE]seeing any point in[/STRIKE] giving him TNP, and whacking him on so many drugs

Chopsticks, I have to work in the morning, then a meeting, then we've a meeting with the rental insurance/deposit chasing people, then we'll come back here and I'll make an excuse and go out and buy a stick. Then I will hide it about my person and sneak into the bathroom and loiter in there till it does what it's supposed to. OK?
Booger, it's after 11pm! Goodnight everyone.
Sounds perfectI'm going out in the afternoon (for a showing-baby-off-to-one-of-Grandma's-friends session) so if you could make it before then, I would be very grateful
:D:D
Night night. Hope you get a good night's sleep.0 -
