Knew there was something I'd forget -

Tia - yay on finding a school. It sounds really good. How's the DLA form coming along ;):D

chopsticks - it's called sleeping to wake. LO had a 45 minute sleep cycle you could set your watch by! At the 35 min mark I used to rouse her enough to wake her body clock, but not enough to wake her fully, then resettle her and it would help her go for another 45 min cycle. The proper explanation is in the baby whisperer book I think. (I don't have a copy - perhaps someone can help?)

I find LO sleeps better at night when she's had proper sleeps during the day.

    Hope that helps xxxx

I've not started it yet.... (DLA form)

Amber will only eat 2 meals a day. Been trying her with some of our dinner at night but shes not interested. Yet give her stuff during the day... She didnt want her fruit at lunch today either. I'm not bothered though.

Thank you rmac. My friend has a copy of the BW so I'll borrow it from her. I'll read up on it, but it sounds like I should probably try to rouse Caitlin after about 20mins sleep. That's really helpful info though, thank you :)

    Have fun at the park.

    :D (to the form)

I've just put Caitlin down for another sleep as she's been yawning away although typically she's just started crying. I'll leave her a bit and see if she goes off though.

I don't know if (ETA: that was quick - she's asleep!) she'll take to three meals a day or not. DH and I don't eat until she's in bed (she goes to bed around 7ish) so was going to introduce tea for her about 4:30.

This is what I was doing:
    7:15 breakfast, followed by milk
    10:30 milk
1:15 lunch with juice (if she'll take it)
    4:30 milk
    6:45 milk

(these are all approx timings, I don't do it to the minute!)

This is what I was trying to do today (with what has actually happened in brackets :D)
    7:30 milk
    8:30 breakfast
11:00 milk (was actually nearer 11:15 as RhymeTime didn't finish until 11)
12:00 lunch (was about 12:45 as went to Tesco after RT)
3:00 (she had it at 3:20)
4:00 tea (will be about 4:30 I guess)
    6:45 milk

Up until today she has sleeps about 9:30, 12:30 and 3:30, but only 30mins max at a time. I was hoping that on the three meals a day routine, she'd have a morning sleep, miss out the 12:30 one and then have a long one early afternoon. Today she had her 9:30 sleep, then fell asleep for about 2mins in the car on the way home from Tesco about 12:15. I put her at 1:45 as she was getting cranky and now I've put her down again only two hours later .

Jillie - just seeing your Tudor Rose post (no idea what that is, sorry :o. Am I totally out of touch?) reminded me that I was going to send hugs to you when I read about Kian's blood incident but I forgot when I was typing my catch-up post, sorry. Hope you're not too traumatised by it.

Tudor Rose is an ad on granada tv for double glazing company. is so amateurish beyond belief

Thanks for the hugs! ilm fine now. last night was in a right state. Had myself believing that HVand social workers would be round 1st thing checking up on me. (daft i know)
Thing is, he wasnt bothered once i calmed him down. had to keep smiling at him so he wouldnt sense my upset. though i know he could from the way he would look at me. thought DH would shout at me for being careless but he didnt. he was very worried about the bleeding not stopping too

Tia...im so pleased you were happy with the school and its put your mind at rest.

MFD...bless him. It breaks your heart when they do that. Give him an extra big hug tonight when you get home and hope he offers some sloppy kisses too.

Choppy...I'm having the same trouble with Rose at them moment. She fights her daytime naps so much and then has half an hour or so ( if im lucky) and then is yawning again 30 mins later. So sleeps really well at night ( 6 till 6 and doesnt wake at all, not even for her dummy) so i feel like i cant complain about not sleeping too well during the day. When she was about 3 months i was worried as she seemed to sleep an awful lot during the day. Im never happy!!

Rose manages her 3 meals fine but i find she's becoming less and less interested in her milk now. She likes her bedtime bottle but seems to mess around with the others so much. x
