I must be weird - I like having company when I go for a bath so I had OH and Alice doing their origami in the bathroom while I had a bath this morning. Have you tried talking to him about it? Perhaps if he is concerned you can have some agreement where say for example he pops in every five minutes to make sure you are okay rather than be there continuously?

I don't mind company but I don't like being watched. He is going for a bath now so I've obviously proved myself trustworthy! Only problem with Toby playing in the bathroom is he can switch off the light!

    hi JHA!!

    welcome over!!
sorry to hear you're still having pre-eclampsia issues. i saw on FB you had been bacl in hospital. I had to change meds and was unable to b'feed then. (disappointed at time but ok now)

I cant breastfeed either - the meds already affected her in utro - but she enjoys her bottle feeds anyway.
Congratulations, jha! So glad to see you on here. Sorry to here about the pre-eclampsia problems. Orit-Rhian is so beautiful- I just saw the pics on the pg thread! How's it going now you're home, feeding, sleeping-wise etc.....

She is feeding well - not sleeping during the night though:rolleyes: She is a nocturnal baby:rotfl:
Welcom JHA and Orit-Rhian, I had failed induction and EMCS due to failure to progress with my first, if you ever want to talk it through feel free to PM me. It doesn't matter how they get here, but it took me a long time to accept that at the time.
    Thanks very much

Weezle - the aftercare was terrible but its due to short staffing and the midwives themselves are excellent - a couple of nights ago we had 1 mw and 1 student mw and 1 nusery nurse to 16 new mums - four of us were high risk
  • JHA, can I ask what may seem like a very silly question, but how do you pronounce your daughters name :)

Just jumping in again.... But Elle if you deicde to eat the kiwis I find cutting them in half then scooping out the flesh with a teaspoon is easiest, especially once they are really rip and juicy.

Odd question I know but - Can babies go off breast milk... William seems to prefer formula and I am having to increase those bottles as he is always sick with BM direct (when he will take it) and even EBM in bottles he is turning his nose up at?

Despite dodgy start to the day - Henry being sick 3 times we ended up going out for the day to London which was nice.... hope everyone else has had a nice day

Could it be something to do with the temperature of the milk maybe? Does the EBM warm up as much as the formula cools down (if you're making it just before you use it)? :)

Rhys didn't seem to know the difference at first, but now he's gone back to preferring EBM and faffing about with formula bottles. Drinks it eventually, just not as easy as EBM.

Glad you had a nice day out :) Is Henry okay now?
  • Congratulations JHA

Maz - have you been eating something different to normal to make it taste funny?

Elle - I did some kiwi fruit and strawberry puree for Izzy which she loved, if you have any strawberry puree in the freezer.

DH did his own bit of bargain hunting earlier - they were selling 2 punnets of strawberries for £2 at the market. He jokingly complained that they were smaller than he thought, and the guy gave him 3 instead :)

I'm jelous of all your takeaways - we had a scrummy dinner, but we've not had takeaway for ages.
