Interesting about the 12mths question.
I've never breast feed and never will but it looks like they are fishing for an angle of older babies/toddlers being BF in public.
They could be opening up a whole can of religious/racist worms if they start going on about BF after 12 mths as the Quran(sp) states that women should nourish thier child from their bodies for a period of 2 yrs.
No idea in the point of this post, am simply musing
They are definitely digging around about older babies aren't they.... I didn't know that about the quaran though. (I don't know how to spell it either!)Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Oh well, means I have to go to the shop and may accidentally add some chocolate to the milk purchaseInteresting about the 12mths question.

I've just got to, "Do you think it's a woman's right to breastfeed in public?" It's not about the woman's right to breastfeed - it's about the baby's right to be fed.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

And can I ask because this always seems to be the issue with people who are against it: Have you ever seen someone breastfeeding in public not doing it discreetly?Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Hi all
Have filled in the survey but was a bit confused by Q9 - seemed like a bit of a double negative and not very clear.
Have got a chocolate orange sponge in the SC - will see how it turns out later!
DH phoned earlier - his sat nav has broke so he needs to get a new one. Funny that - seeing as he's been banging on for weeks about getting a special one for trucks to use for work. I think the company should pay for it - it's more for their benefit than ours. But DH says it's him who would get the fine for going down a weight restriction/width restriction etc.
He's also arranged for a bloke to come round at 3 to give us a quote for re-pointing the house - yeh, like we can afford that! And, typical of him, he's not back from work yet so looks like I'll have to sort it out :mad:Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

nope! And this question contains a discriminatory opinion I feel. You can't say about a FF mum, 'what they do in the privacy of their own home is their business I just don't want to see it!' and you can't say about a heterosexual couple holding hands 'what they do in the privacy of their own home is their business I just don't want to see it!'. But apparently it's fine to say and think those things about BF and also same sex expressions of affection.
But my belief is that both are subtly discriminatory, and that's often the worst kind of discrimination.
However the tide is turning. (slowly slowly) I was told in Boots on friday that they could not let me redeem advantage points against ANY baby milk. I said that they can after 6 months (follow on formula) she was adamant though. So we did a little experiment. I got some newborn formula and we tried redeeming the points: no joy, then we tried it with the follow on (I was confident cos I looked online first) and I was glad I stood my ground cos I was right!
