Just popping in

I have a question, I remember a while ago someone talking about a book designed for you to read to your bump, it was from amazon I think

Does anyone know what its called?

Its just OH likes talking to bump but I think he feels silly sometimes cos he doesnt know what to say, so I think having something to read would be good?

Any suggestions?

oh tricky! Will your mum want the same time alone with K or can you be there too? Not that that sounds ideal!

no idea on the book, sorry. DH reads to ME every night though, so I think Kester is used to Daddy's voice now

So Charlotte will just have turned 5 at the end of P1? Keira will be starting at 5yr 4months. But then her friends in her class, are going up to P1 this year and one of them has the same birthday as her (1 year older).

Maybe it's different rules in Scotland and England?

I'm not too bothered, at least I won't feel bad if she is ever behind a lil bit, but would of been nice for all day peace and quiet :rotfl:

Button - the main difference between england and scotland is that the intake yeaer is different. In scotland it runs from March-March, but England have a different 'year' IYKWIM.

HAve another social day ahead - coffee at a friends house in about 45 mins s better get a moev on, then soft play this afternoon. It's £2 for under 12months and £3.xx for over 1's. However everyone seems very excited about a new place that's opening at the end of the month - but it is over £6 per child and they charge £1 per adult - but due to the age group, you have to be there to accompany your child?!

We won't be going at that price! Or am I being a meanie?

Nap time beckons for LO, and I have to get myself together to go out. See you all soon.

Oh and a big congratulations to Benjamin on his first word I'm very proud!

She'd want the same hour for hour, shes quite childish:rolleyes: Its not fair of her.
K is also PIL's 1st grandchild. my mum watched DD when she was a baby but a lot changed in 13yrs x

My OH did that when he was little by falling down the stairs. Apparently they stitched it back up with no anaesthetic and MIL said it was awful having to wait outside hearing him scream. He doesn't remember it at all though.

I thought legally it was the term after you turn five? (So Sept-December birthdays have to start by January of Reception Year, January to March after Easter and then April to August don't have to start until September of Year One. Our local authority takes them all full time from September of Reception Year but some areas they either don't start them until it's compulsorary or they have them part-time from the September and then switch to full time depending on when they turn five.

We had "P"s for a while when I was in primary school. It started off Reception, Bottom Infants, Middle Infants, Top Infants and then J(unior)1 to 4 but then they changed it to P1-7 (not sure exactly when that happened) and then they changed it to Reception and Year 1 to 6 around 1989 so I think it was assosciated with the introduction of the National Curriculum. But Scotland has a completely different system. (I think NI has a different system too.)

Hi again,

I'm feeling really down today and yesterday.

I think it's tiredness (been up since 3.30) the weather and hormones. But it's manifesting as tearful overwhelmedness, financial anxiety and questioning myself, friendships and relationships

might try to see if I can ask someone to have F a little while this afternoon so I can sleep...

Benjamin woke at 3.10am for ten minutes and then at about 7am (whilst I was in the shower). He looks shattered this morning but seems in a good enough mood.

We have been trying to get him to say 'Ball' seeing as that is his favourite thing but he just says 'blah' :rotfl:


We have rain, and lost of it!! Yay for rain :T
