Either that or i'm a pig. 500g would do me and DS for 2 meals and i'm not shy with the mash and dumplings or whatever we're having with it. When ex was here it'd only do one night though.

Don't get me wrong its a great pram and it does everything which most don't. It was great when she was tiny and they look fab but it weighs a ton and the steering is crappy, ite really wide, wider than other prams, the basket has a metal cross over thing which stops you being able to get anything bigger than a tin of beans into the basket (new ones don't have that prob), when you have it parent facing you can't get to the basket at all without walking roung the other side of the pram. If you walk everywhere and use it for shopping then it gets to be a PITA.

I got offered the quinny for £70 from a mate and for £70 its brilliant and I have to say in this weather the quinny has been a godsend i wouldn't have been able to get up to school with just the loola.

Yes although I'd call it 15 as it's more like 6 x 2.5 because Alice has a smaller portion. I just put in more of all the other stuff so I would include in a bolognaise for example say 3-6 onions, 3 or four tins of tomatoes, half a pound of grated carrot, half a pound of lentils and rice. With a chilli I would also use a cup of beans which once cooked I think is the equivalent of about three tins? (Obviously I soak/cook them before adding to the chilli.)

it's about 27g mince per portion (assuming all portions are the same size)

I just google but couldn't quickly find what a recomended serving size is for meat but saw something about quorn mince being 87g...

Half eight before he went to sleep! And hubby has just been up to him again. His cheeks are the colour of a fire engine!!


Hipp Goodnight Milk (Benjamin's fave) is £3.50 at Tesco ATM. It is usually £4.50 (:eek:) god this formula stuff is expensive! What with 2 bottles a day at CM's and a bottle of goodnight milk at night I am feeling the money flowing out of my purse. If nothing else, house white is free :money:

Have you all seen/heard that pampers pull up pants are reduced to £2.99 all sizes at Boots or at least for those folks that use these

Same person who swapped mine, I think. It took me two hours to get him down tonight- it took 10 minutes last night!


On the mince debate, 1 packet of Quorn mince, 300g, does three meals for OH and I, and sometimes one portion for the freezer (so 6-9 portions). I pad it out with onion, grated carrot and either lentils or beans depending on what I'm making. I've had no complaints so far, and I made Quorn shepherds pie for the fussy in-laws the other day!

Oh - and does 'No' count as a first word? I picked Benjamin up from the CM and he sat on my knee trying to eat my necklace (big chunky wooden thing) and I said 'No, no Benjamin' and he looked at me, laughed and said 'No, no' :rotfl:

At CMs he went in the travel cot which has a zip opening at one end. CM was in kitchen and Benjamin comes crawling through to her laughing...his little girlfriend had opened the zip because Benjamin had 'told' her that he wanted to come out
