Yeah they are totally expensive, I about died when I seen a nice one in a charity shop with a £75 price tag! I'll have a snoop tomorrow, you can get them decorated with anything you want too, WTP, Teletubbies, Princesses' etc. Think I'll just opt for a white one with flowers round the bottom maybe? Because she will grow out of princesses' at some point...

I can't sleep! I lay in bed for over an hour trying to sleep - but alas I cannot!

So I got up, did the dishes, put a load in the washing machine, hung clothes up to dry, chased cat away from clothes hanging to dry, put a mince and potato madras in the slow cooker, made OH's lunch, made myself a sandwich, unloaded washing machine, added clothes to dryer, dryed dishes and put them away.

How productive of me. It's now almost 5am and I'm pooped, who's betting Keira picks today to wake up at silly o clock (before 9 in my eyes!)

Elijah luuurves being naked  If anything is guaranteed to make him run up and down manically shouting "diggedy-da, diggedy-da, diggedy-DA!" and flailing his arms in the air, it's removing all his clothes!

Is this a habit E has learnt from his Daddy? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love all the old pics - and how much to all of your babies look like you? Sami - MIL is very 80's glam. :D
I think my three are hospital mix-ups. None look like me, and I don't even think they look like each other.
DS is the image of my mum, V is the double of her dad as a baby. I suppose DD1 is the most like me as a child, but don't tell her that! :p

OH has gone off on his weeks training this morning. :embarasse He's never been away for more than a night before. But i'll see him Wednesday at his 'do' thingy.

I'm just waiting for DD1 to get her backside out of bed and ready for school, hers is open today.
She won't be happy when she realises DS is off school - the special schools transport is still not working.

Buttons How [STRIKE]mad[/STRIKE] productive are you - all before 5am!

Weezl Is it Kester disturbing your sleep?

    Morning all,

how are we all today? I'm quite awake for once, as Elena decided to go to bed at 9.30pm last night and slept for 6 hours, woke up, fed, then had another 3 :j It doesn't happen very often so made the most of it - was in bed by 10.30pm :D She is now kicking and gurgling away on her playmat :)

I'm out of butter, so wondering whether to brave the pavements and see if I can get the buggy up to the shop - the buses stopped going past my house due to the icy roads  Might have to just wait and ask hubby to stop at the shop on the way home from work. Plans for today include a couple of loads of washing (first one is on!), and a good tidy up in the living room and kitchen. We'll see how much actually gets done, depending on how distracted I get by my sewing today :p

Does anyone's child have a quivering chin/bottom lip? And not just when crying. In the hospital they said J's nervous system was just not developed enough at birth and this will stop. But it's been over two years. I do hope he doesn't keep it into adulthood. The GP is obviously not bothered with this life or death symptom .

What? I have to worry about these things... :o

Toby had it, but grew out of it. I was told it was a sign of an early baby - was J early? Are you still seeing the HV, she might be more clued up than a GP. Hope you can find some answers, the little niggly things are worrying aren't they! Toby still does a random full body quiver quite regularly.

Someone mentioned the startle reflex last night. Toby does a really cute thing when frightened, he instantly crawls over to me at top speed and practically climbs up my legs like a little monkey! He freaked out at his toy the other day, and being put in the bath first. He doesn't cry, just gets frightened and has big wide eyes and clings on to me like anything.

  • Morning everyone :hello:

OH's back at work today (first he'll have been back for a full set of 6 days since before Christmas as he's had annual leave and then was sick last week). Henry and I are just waiting for the house to warm up so we can have a bath. We've got our (late) six week check this afternoon so we're going to brave the ice with the pram and walk there.

We also need to put Henry's cot-bed in our room since we realised last night that he is only about 4" shorter than the moses basket.

Yay for sleeping babies Squishy! It's such a good feeling, isn't it? Henry went down at 8 last night, slept till 4 then went back down to 7 :T. I feel amazing this morning thanks to a good night- I'll be all nice and chirpy for the doctor.

Feelie- Toby's scared reaction sounds so cute!

3-Sorry to hear your OH has to go away for his training. Mine was lucky and came home each night as we live really near the training centre. Hope your OH thoroughly enjoys it. Did you get a dress for Wednesday?

Weezl- hope you went back to bed and managed a lie in? I swear I get more sleep now than when I was in my last trimester, so you have my sympathy.

    Morning all..

No middle of the night wakings from Rhys last night, though I did peek over the side of the crib when OH's alarms were going off to see Rhys rubbing his face, looking very sleepy and cute. Just wanted to give him a big cuddle but resisted and he went off to sleep again on his own and he's still sparko now. Will wake him at 10.15am, time for a bottle and enough time to wake up properly before the nurse comes at 11am :)

Then my mum's bringing lunch over with her and staying for the afternoon. Haven't seen her since last Sunday and the builders are knocking the (outside!) kitchen wall out at their house today so she's coming to hid out at ours for a while! ;) I can't wait for all the snow to go so I can visit their house and see the changes :)

Now.. what to do with my peaceful hour before Rhys gets up? Tea and bikkies, I think! :D Currently watching Martin on gmtv...

    Good morning all.

    Sugar - are you ok??

We have Holly's 3rd jags this morning so need to get organised for that. Not sure if I will go out afterwards. My back is killing me and I think it's partly because my pillow is so flat, so could do with buying new ones. But I plan to make a steak pie for dinner and haven't done it before, so might end up back here having a day of cooking etc.

GISI - I weighed Holly on the Wii last night as we haven't been to get her weighed for weeks. She was 13lbs! And she is bottle fed and 16 weeks old! Not much between her and your chunky monkey despite the age difference!!
