Well done Seth!! :j He was obviously waiting on you putting him in his own room to do it. You could probably have done it months ago. You must have been keeping the poor boy awake! ;)

GISI - I have 2 weddings in April so would like to lose some weight by then. I am envious of you running. I have really high arches in my feet and some excercise causes me great pain. I have spent a fortune on support trainers, but to no avail. Memory boxes - I would like one as I have Holly tags and stuff lying around. I keep forgetting though. MIL bought me a memory book, but I would like somewhere to put cards etc as you say.

Right, off for a shower now whilst H is napping. DH is going to play Playstation and be "on duty" for H whilst I shower and then go for his later. He thinks he is doing me a favour. What does he think I do during the week - stay smelly?!

ETA - everyone probably knows this, but just in case anyone doesn't, if you have swivel wheels on your pram, they are better in the snow if you lock them - you can plough through much better. I only figured that out the other day (but in my defence, I have never had to think about it before!)

Yes I'm BF - it can get tiring sometimes, especially as I'm finding it hard to express much (so hubby could do a feed) but it is amazing how you get used to things!
Have you tried expressing first thing in the morning? I used to express then and it worked better both because there was more milk due to Alice feeding less at night and also I was less tired at that time of day so the milk came out more easily.

Wills: I think there is a regular month each year (possibly October?) when lots of solicitors will do wills for free. (I think it's usually in the money saving tips e-mail when it's on.) You can also get DIY kits from places like WHSmith (which is what we did). The main reason we made one was to designate guardians in case both of us die while we still have dependent children. We made one of my brothers and one of OH's brothers executors and they both have copies of both our wills plus details of both our life insurance policies so that if we both died suddenly there would be no problems tracking down the will as a will is pointless if nobody knows about it and where it is.

For life insurance, we are both insured for the same amount because if I died, OH would give up work to look after the children so would need the same amount as I would if he died. We only got it for 20 years because we figure by then the lump sum from our pension if of one of us died would probably be sufficient and we got level rather than decreasing because the later one of us died, the more children the other would be left to look after so would need more per year.

And sorry I worried people by disappearing without saying anything - I just got a bit stressed out by the whole thing about people not being replied to but I didn't want to make a big thing about it. :o I think I've recovered now though. :D

    Morning all

Bad night with Kai again last night, but he seems ok'ish today..not better but mobile and not quite as miserable.

Really bad day yesterday (thanks feelie) Not sure what's going to be happening yet, probably carry on as normal (for the kids) and see how things turn out! We are going to take the kids out for a nice day out today and I have conveniently chosen a pub nearby the iCandy stockist so I can see the pushchair today too. Then go to the pub for a £3.50 carvery, which are amazing apparantly, and finish off at a different pub (nearer to home) which has an indoor play area for the kids, but the food is terrible and expensive, hence the carvery idea:)

SS - I thanked your fairies but then it occured to me that you may have missed it because of travelling home after christmas...sorry if you didn't get it, and thank you again. In fact let me say another big thank you to all fairies who brought goodies as I don't know if you all got my thanks's:)

    Mel x

Hello Susan!! Lovely to see you posting :)

Fitzio, do you want to venture into the Baby Weight Shifting Club on the health board with me? I've been very bad about posting there, but this Bermuda wedding means my bikini's going to have to get an airing and I look dreadful in it. Maybe I'll just buy some long sleeved kaftan things and a parasol and insist on preserving my delicate complexion.

Edit: I'm sorry you had a bad day Mel, have a :grouphug: if it helps. I'm glad the fairies found you and sorry they forgot to identify themselves ;)

    Well done Seth!!!

.. Lol at your anti-anti-union rebelling Elle :) What do they do for you that makes it appealing? Why are your colleagues against it?

Because I've seen how our wonderful HR Advisors and management work and I know I'd rather have union representation/support that tackle it on my own if I was ever up for a disciplinary (my boss liked to try to pin her mistakes on me) or put in a grievance (almost did against said boss) Said boss is too pig-headed to think she'd ever need union representation - has said so outloud from her ivory tower ;) - plus the unions only represent staff level, not senior staff, in pay negoitations so that's me and not them :)

Guzzle guts here has, in the last few days, taken to downing 50% bigger bottles and woke me at 8am cos he was hungry  He'd better have gained more this week.. roll on weigh-in on Monday!

OH at work for another few hours then home to do decorating, yay! :) I think I'm going to sort more bits for the loft. I never go up there so I've got no idea how much room is left!

    Hope everyone is well xx

Thanks. I've missed you all too. Yes, Alice thoroughly enjoyed herself. She's really into presents now and keeps wrapping random things up in bits of paper and giving them to us. I think this is probably the first Christmas or birthday where she has really understood beforehand about presents. She managed to give away my present to me though because the day she went to get it with OH, she said to me after he'd gone to work, "Did you get some cups Mummy?" I don't think she's quite understood the suprise element yet. Yes, we did have goose and it was lovely although bizarrely unfatty so we didn't get enough fat off for roasting the potatoes but it saved a bit of work so we weren't too bothered.
