CSH - I've done most of the recipes that I like the sound of in EG, the shepherds pie is a favourite as is the Ribs and Beans.
A particular favourite with my DD is the Omelette Arnold Bennet as it contains her 3 favourite foods in one meal - Fish, Cheese and Eggs!Proud to be dealing with my debts

jillie - if you're offering newborn boy's clothes, I'm more than happy to receive, but totally understand if you want to keep for later babies
fattyboo - yay for better nights! also, weird about your glider. We also got one off eBay (don't think it's dutailer, but is v similar) as well but it doesn't seem too snug. I was nudging a 16 pre-preg, so I'm deffo no skinny minny.
Beenie - DH & I were only there for 1 drink and 30 minutes!Finn came with us as it was before 9pm. But in general, I do want to express a little bit - prolly only 1 bottle per day max, as DH is itching to do a feed. I have a pump but no bottles, which will pick up tomorrow and then start slowly introducing to Finn. I deffo don't want to lose any element of BFing though (from my side or his), so going to take it v slowly and if there's issues I'm happy to wait a few weeks.
Fitzio - your avatar tickled me...holly, hahaha.
mmm, I don't have the EG cookbook but have stolen loads of recipes from the series. The HM bread is DELICIOUS and is now my permanent bread recipe.
My sling arrived!! :T:T It's a mei tai style from an Etsy seller and absolutely lovely. Finn wanted feeding after we got home, so he was only in it for about 2 seconds, but I so can't wait for tomorrow to try it out. Also, we're going to Mothercare tomorrow afternoon to spend our vouchers on an overpriced playgym-thing, so I'm very excited (saddo :rotfl:).
Think we need to buy a nightlight for the bedroom, as have been noticing that he drops off a bit better with the tiniest bit of light...anyone else find this even in newborns?
BF experts...question of curiosity - does everyone have spray issues? I mean, they can squirt quite well when I squeeze them, but I'm not leaking the least bit (touch wood!!) nor does it seem to flow too fast for him. Also, it feels like he never ever empties a boob, like my supply is limitless but also never gets engorged either. I just swap boobs to if he's fed off 1 for a couple of feeds just b/c I'll notice the other one feeling full, but not b/c the other one is empty IYSWIM? Is this just b/c it's early days?top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Sorrybut I've been using LO's nursing pillow to sit down on, or rather place myself down. I'm with you on the getting up DH has had to help me on a few occasions  plus I am finding it very hard to get up the
stairs. I really should go get it checked but getting out is too much hassle at the moment.
Daniel did his first wee and poo in the toilet tonight, only because he was in the bath and started to do his poo face (:rotfl:) so I scooped him out and sat him on the loo. To quote sugar he had a !!!!!! look on his face :rotfl:Mummy to D born 21/04/09 and S born 09/05/120 -

Aless- I've had a nightlight, well 3 actually! since the first night, our room is very dark as we have blackout blinds. We are now down to just the light from the egg. I've never actually tried him in complete darkness because I like to see his chest rise and fall, even tho I have a breathing monitor.0

Blimey you lot - Izzy woke up, I've been gone for 45 mins to sort her out, and you've filled up 2 pages. No chance of keeping up with you all tonight, I'm off to bed. Night all
