csh - weirdly it never even crossed my mind until after he was born - mostly b/c I need total darkness to sleep (but suppose I would get used to it). Actually I want 1 (or a v dim lamp) for the living room as I think he gets too much light during nighttime feedings which doesn't help him re-settle.

Forgot to say MWs were supposed to come & discharge me today but rescheduled for Monday. Will be sad to seem them go as were absolutely lovely - did anyone get theirs a gift?

Aless - Not everyone has spray issues, it sounds as if you're flow is perfect for Finn, not everyone leaks (in the early days with my DD I had to pack spare tops for me as pads just couldn't contain it all!)

So don't worry everyone is different.

We have an Egg light really it is just enough to take the edge off the dark, we also have a touch lamp with 3 levels on it that DD wants on the lowest setting occasionally.

I cross-stitched a thank you card for the midwife that I saw regularly before my DD was born.

I've got a wee push on/off LED nightlight that I use when hes getting a bottle at night, I only move him to the bed and back so I don't wake him too much. He always goes straight back to sleep after.

Gifts: No! I don't think I seen the same one twice! I only had 3 very short visits before they discharged me. Next door neighbours had baby 3 weeks later and they were in every day!
