SB - DH went outside and sprinkled oats and glitter, whilst I held Caitlin at the window. She's six months old and didn't have a clue what was going on. Her age didn't stop me writing her a letter from Father Christmas thanking her for the sausage roll, wine and carrot she left him either. Me barmy? Never! :rotfl:

    That is so funny :rotfl:.

I did the santa video that someone linked to for my step-sister (she's 10). It was all going really well until Santa said her name- she's called Niamh (Neve) but unfortunately he pronounced it Ne-am :rotfl:. Ruined the magic a bit....

    Thank you x
Yeah very stressful, I'm just wondering when it will all end and I will have a bit of peace!

Will they make a final decision on Monday?

I know why you want to go home, but if you can follow their advice, it'll probably work out more in your favour in the long run.

    Thinking of you hun.
  • Just done Henry's CTF. £50 cashback on Quidco plus £25 Boots vouchers for setting up a DD. Very pleased with that, and fingers crossed that the fund does well over the next 18 years!

Me too (then cancelled the DD after the first payment! :o).

Quidco appear to have their act together now and I was paid quite quickly compared to over a year's wait with Poppy's!

OK, it didn't take me long to catch up :D

She's not listening, she's gone to sleep

Ours was great thank you Weezl. We really enjoyed it but this year it was definitely about us enjoying her first Christmas rather than her enjoying it.

Like you and SB say though, the ones where she knows what's happening will be the truly magical ones.

    So very cute!!

Start as you mean to go on, I say! :D

Whats the buzz on baby walkers nowerdays? We had one for DS1 (which is still in the loft, a yellow taxi) but DS2 wasn't allowed to use it (by physio). So I'm looking for a cheap walker... or a jumparoo style thing (then she can't ram me on the lamenite flooring). Or should I just send DH up for the walker... (confused)
Ah just bung her in, she'll love it ;) Seth loves his. We had a jumperoo but he got frustrated in it cos he wanted to be moving around and pesting, not confined to bouncing in the one spot! I sold it when he was 8 months cos there was no point, he only got 3 months out of it :(

  • Aww, em, I remember you being desperate for a Jumperoo too!

Did you not save it for the next one?! ;)

That is a good idea. I still haven't done Caitlin's but have had the voucher for about three months now. I was looking at the Quidco one last night, so am going to do what you did.

I don't want to put any extra money into the CTF in case she turns out to be a devilish 18 year old who wastes it on tattoos and a summer in Ibiza. We're saving a bit each month in another account for her and then she can have that money when we decide she can have it :D

I want to start so many traditions :o

I'm going to do the "things I did this year" thing that I mentioned the other day (maybe last night?) each year.

This year we bought her a personalised 1st Xmas bauble, then from next year I'm going to get her to pick one each year to build up her own collection.

I'm going to buy her a Christmas/winter-themed book and give it to her on Xmas Eve each year which we'll read before going to bed.

New PJs for every family member on Xmas Eve so we look semi-decent in the photos on Xmas morning :D
