Hi all. have been up and about since 7.30, after a wonky night - Izzy woke up just after midning thinking it was the morning as lights/tv etc were on and she could hear grandad :rotfl:. Took me till half to to get her back to sleep, which was not great seeing as I wasn't sure if I would make it till midnight and was definitly planning to be n bed by half 12, but never mind.
Some of you have had very eventful decades. Mine's quite boring in comparison:
2000 - early stages of relationship with DH (we got to gether tail end of 1999) and working out what to do after having quit uni. Temping, first full time job. self study a-level in maths.
2001 - back to Uni. DH moved into my parents house by osmosis. Got engaged
2002 - still at uni. Various part time jobs
2003 - ditto. lost DH's best friend.
2004 - graduated, new job, moved out of my parents. Came home with Nicky the hamster on christmas Eve.
2005 - nothing of interest.
2006 - Made redundant. New job, which was rubbish - job hunting again after the first week. bought flat in December & Nicky died.
2007 - new (current job) on 2nd January. Arrival of SPG the hamster. Got married in September
2008 - promotion and being pregnant. Lost maternal grandmother and my cousin's husband
2009 -Izzy born. Lost my granny
2010 -hopefuly a new job, more sleep, less grumpy DH and a lottery win. Not sure which of those is most likely ;0)
(there were a few more funerals in there too - all of DH's oldies, but I can't remember which were in which years... could do with less of them this decade if possible... all joking about life insurance aside.)
There is a suspicious smell coming from the direction of a baby unpacking all the plastic cups from a bag and stacking them up neatly. Best investigate.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Oh, Ladybird, I was nebbing on FB the other day and realised you work for the people who provide the payroll software we use at work.. Must remember never to rant about them
Payroll input is the second to worst week of the month in our dept.. worst moment being the run/collect bit! (I only do the input though, then leave the sticky results stuff to the big guns to sort out!
).
SS, probably staying the bed too long is what I'm allergic toHave you seen the SAHM Organised to 2010 thread, btw? I think you'd like it

Oh.. Now I will have to find out who you work for and what service you are on and stuff.... there are lots of bits to the company - I think they kept buying different people out, so if you ever phone up you might be going through to a completely different helpdesk than the one I work on, but if you get an Alice answering the phone it's probalby me
Feel free to rant away, I don't mind. I do it, and I work there :rotfl:.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Afternoon all
I was supposed to come back on after watching the film with the kids, but didn't get a chance to, so HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all:D
It is my mums birthday today so need to track her down. I couldn't afford the Dune perfume so got her a biggish box of Thorntons choccy's instead:) I will put on my list that she is getting a BIG bottle of Dune perfume for next christmas...ok SM, I will report back once I have bought it...in fact I have just thought whilst typing, dh's mate's mum works in Boots, I wonder if she will buy it on her staff discount for me;) We have helped her son out TONS moving into his new place and given him loads of stuff for it. We are also going to give him our Henry hoover once the Dyson arrives!
I have really enjoyed reading everyone's lists, and am very impressed with all of your acheivments.
Tree and decorations are down now, kids are working on homework that is due in on Monday and I am trying to write a list of items I need to buy to get the house sorted out....mainly storage items and if there is any money left I am going to buy a new laptop...I have given up trying to get a new screen for mine!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Happy New Year to all xx
I'm not playing the decade game as my life is very boring! Only highlights are 2002 met now DH, moved intogether 2008 got married and found out I was pg 2009 Daniel was born
2010 isn't starting out very well. Couldn't sleep last night and was up early with LO. We went for a walk around the local country park and I was pushing Daniel when I slipped on some ice, I've hurt myself quite badly, cuts to both hands and can't sit down properly as I fell on my back with some force. Plus I feel so bad as when I went down I tipped the trolley with Daniel in it. DH had to leave me on the floor while he sorted Daniel out, I now have a blinding headache from all the crying. Luckily Daniels fine and is now having an afternoon nap. Hopefully 2010 will be better?? Ugh and it's 3wks on Monday when I go back to work.Mummy to D born 21/04/09 and S born 09/05/120 -
