Am I the only one up? Hope you're not all nursing sore heads.

Been up for 2 hours waiting for my newspaper to arrive but doesn't look like it's going to. Very annoying as I know they've been printed. Worse still, looking at the bill, I've been let off the price of the paper but still charged for delivery. Same happened for Xmas and Boxing days. Cheeky git, and I've paid bill now too.

My memory is rubbish, but know I've had a pretty good decade.

2000 started decade single and pretty much stayed that way barring a few v short flings.
    2002 sold flat, bought house.
    2003 Qualified as Engineer
2007 Headhunted within company to work in new dept
2009 pregnant and had Kezia - best year ever
2010 who knows??? nothing can top 2009
Cross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way

Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j

Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09
  • Happy New Year! Hope everyone's had a good start to 2010. I haven't caught up yet as we had a lovely evening out last night while the ILs babysat. He was an angel though and went down before we went out then didn't wake once!

The noughties were an amazing decade for me:
    2000 got together with OH
    2001 finished A-levels
    2002 went to uni
2005 graduated and joined graduate scheme at bank
2007 promotion in bank, bought house and married OH
    2008 honeymoon and career change
    2009 pregnant and had Henry

    I'm loving reading everyone's lists
:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator :p
  • Happy New Year all!

My decade has been very eventful and is as follows:

    2000 - in a 7 year relationship
2001 - split with ex. promoted to office manager at work.
    2002 - met OH
    2003 - OH proposed
2004 - got married to OH
2005 - diagnosed with breast cancer with a whole year of treatment.
2006 - sold up and moved from the city to our dream cottage in the country
2007 - had 4 operations from cancer complications
    2008 - had a further 3 operations
2009 - discovered I was pregnant despite it being "impossible" after chemo :j

After such an eventful decade I would quite like to just sit back and enjoy this next one!
The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents ;):o:D

GISI, I never realised we must be around the same age if you were doing A-levels in 2001?

Didn't "stay up" for midnight but was awake regardless...woke DH up and all the fireworks went off around us (Finn didn't mind the least!).

    My list, prolly fairly boring:

2000 - absolutely nothing of interest. Still in high school!
2001 - still in high school, came to the UK for the first time (3 week tour around)
2002 - graduated high school, started uni
2003 - still in uni, nothing interesting
2004 - came to UK for year abroad as part of uni studies. Had 1st long term boyfriend over here. Mom diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the very end of the yr.
2005 - was in UK 'til July. Came back to USA for final yr of uni.
2006 - finished uni. Moved to UK for postgrad course. Met DH.
2007 - got engaged, finished postgrad with my MA.
2008 - got married, found first permanent career-like job (which I'm still at)
2009 - got pregnant, Mom died in August, had baby Finn!
2010 - deffo wouldn't mind baby 2 depending on finances! :p (I want to have kids close together in age; my sis & I are 7 yrs apart)
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!
