Just popping in to wish you all a very happy new year.

AM/DKA I have just seen your posts re: SS being involved. I will try to catch you on the thread you started. Positive vibes for you xx

I just had a glass of champagne which we were given when we renewed our vows in August 2008. I saved it for the birth of our first child but then I forgot to open it. It was really disgusting! Think vinegar and paint stripper. I can still feel it eating away at my internal organs! Has gone down the sink and i'm having a lovely glass of coke zero instead!!

I'm sorry I havent been on but I have had a none sleeping baby since just before Christmas and i'm wondering how the heck i'm going to cope when I go back to work next week after having these 2 weeks off. I just cant fathom out whats wrong with her. She wakes up moaning, I pick her up to reassure her, her head immediately lolls on my shoulder and she's fast asleep again. I can occasionally settle her by patting her but usually have to pick her up. It takes less than 10 seconds to get her back to sleep usually and then I put her back in her cot. Its just that she's doing it atleast once every hour since she's put in bed and wont sleep longer than 3 hours at a stretch during the night (thats if i'm lucky). I'm not sleeping well as it is and going to bed at about 2am and then getting about 30 minutes sleep before madam decides to play up. I know I havent got it as bad as some but i'm soooooo tired and really cant face work next week.

Okay, moan of 2009 is complete. At midnight my child will miraculously turn into a baby who sleeps through the night! (Here's hoping).

Anyway, A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO MUMS, DADS, BIG KIDS, LITTLE KIDS AND BUMPS xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j

Kids really know how to make you feel like crap !!!

She is now crying becasue Chris went in and told her that he hopes she is happy now she made mummy cry and all I am getting is I didnt mean it mummy sorry sob sob

I will go and give her a hug in a minute, but I am letting her cry for a bit first, is that really nasty ??

Just remember she doesn't mean it and that tomorrow she'll be your best friend again. Happened to me many times down the years, especially with 15yo and she loves me just as much as the others do and she knows I love her equally too.

Sometimes it's because they don't get their own way and/or they just want some attention.

Sometimes leaving them for 10 minutes makes them think about how they don't like being in parents bad books and they learn from it. I'm sure she'll be okay ;)

(((HUGS))) MM, I think kids just know how to wind us up.

I took my 8YO's dsi off her tonight, because she was being cheeky. She then told me all I do is ruin her life, she hates me, and its no wonder her daddy drinks

I wanted to cry, but I didnt. I put her in her room, confiscated the beloved dsi for 2 days instead of 1.

When she came to apologise I explained why she was bang out of order in what she said.

I do wonder though, is her anger behaviour learned from her dad, or has it been passed onto her genetically or is she just a child trying to play me. If the former or latter, then I can work on it with her. Santa should really have got her a punch bag for christmas as she is really lashing out alot recently.

  • OMG I have finally caught up and that was with skipping a few pages too!! Will just say happy new year to u all, i have decided to leave tobys bedtime routine a bit longer as he seems to be cluster feeding in the evenings so think i will start trying a bedtime routine once that has stopped fingers crossed!! On the plus side, he seems to be going for a bit longer during the day, had 2 over 3 hour gaps between feeds today so least we know he can do it!!

    xx

Sorry MM, spent so long trying to find a solution that I lost track of posts. This way we could all come as I have loads of Tescos vouchers.

Just gone back and read, think being hard is the only way, tough love! XXX
