Todays plan is to go and buy a crib for Holly. She is too big for her Moses basket, but her room is far too cold to put her in the cot bed just now, and to be honest I would prefer not to. I hope a crib won’t be too small for her just yet. Even if we get a few weeks out of, until this cold spell passes (it was still snowing here yesterday, and the nursery was 12 degrees this morning), it would be worth it. I just feel so sorry for her not being able to spread out.

How long did everyone else keep their babies in their room for and what were they sleeping in ?
    ...
Christopher - in our room for 4mths first 3 in crib then 1 in travel cot, he was (and still is ) a very 'active' sleeper so woke himself up bumping in to the crib sides all the time.
Edgar - still in with us at 7mths and counting Moses basket for 4mths now in crib, he rarely moves once asleep (good boy! :p)

Elle hang in there honey xxx

My boobies are looking depressingly small at the mo as Ed has been feeding little n often for days now, someone please tell me my boobs won't be so small n saggy when we stop BFing??!!

Thanks Harley, Boo, Weezl and Csh (so far)!

Boo – yes it is a swinging crib/cradle I was thinking of. Know what you mean about new houses – our room isn’t too bad really but the design of it means we wouldn’t be able to access anything with a cotbed in it (en-suite/wardrobes etc). Haven’t looked on E-bay as I have decided that we really need to go and buy her one today! I don’t want to wait another day tbh. Plus, I have never used E-bay!!! Although DH has and has an E-bay shop or something.

Csh – Hello. Was wondering where you had disappeared to. Hope you had a nice Xmas. Kieren is getting big. I haven’t had H weighed for a few weeks and would like to get that done today too! JL in Buchanan Galleries is where I am heading first though! They have one around £68 plus mattress. Might just pop H into it in the shop to see how it is for size! I think it’s a reasonable price to pay as we hate our Moses basket so would probably use this for any subsequent babies.

Harley – as H sleeps through the night, we are happy to keep her in with us for as long as possible (not really that bothered about the lack of sex life!!). I am sure she would be fine in her own room, but it is nice to be able to lean over to check if she is grunting rather than going next door. Her room is soooo cold though so I really don’t want to put her in there until we have to.

Weezl – have thought of a travel cot too, but might still be a bit big. We are still looking for one at the moment though as MIL is buying one for H’s Christmas. We missed out on the good deal that Silver Cross had recently and were really disappointed. What will you do when baby no 2 arrives? Will Fergie go into his own room then?

ETA - Also thanks SS and Sami. SS, I think you are obsessed with Lush. We can't even walk past the shop without OH having a sneezing fit as everything goes for his nose!

    Belated Happy Birthday Csh! :bdaycake:

Hope you had a lovely day. 30 is not old!! Or at least it's still young to me ha ha.

The weather is the same round here. I haven't been out on my own for days (had a champagne and cocktail lunch with girls the other day but hubby dropped me off). To get out of our road, one needs to push the car and then jump in the back whilst it's still moving so I can't go on my own! We live at the bottom of a hilly estate.

Kev had to push one of the neighbours yesterday as they had got stuck trying to get into their driveway! There are two ditches in the middle of the roads from car tyres that passed in the snow before it froze and if you get stuck on one now you're stuffed!!!

I think ours was about £80 so that is a good price. We never had a moses basket cos I don't like them. Had the SC sleepover in the living room for daytime naps

Sugar if you mean blue planet near chester zoo I really wouldn't reccomend it, it costs a small fortune and is quite short to get around even if you read all the info things I was super disapointed with it and I think the way they keep the otters is cruel - made me :( The zoo is just round the corner and will easily fill a whole day and when it's low season works out cheaper IIRC
    :)

csh I was wondering where you'd got to! Happy Birthday for yesterday!

    Hi all
Oh god, it's judgement day today, (child protection confrence) trying so hard not to cry constantly, so keep going off into the loo to do it.
I think realisation hit me this morning how serious this all is, what have I done?!
