The fairies only take chocolate to big boys and girls with curls and [STRIKE]teeth[/STRIKE] a tooth!I've had similar problems 3 on its way with my DD not liking her school transport to school. Have you tried asking the school what they suggest? They will know how all their other kids get to school and what is realistically available for your little one. With my DD, she was taken off the bigger bus and put on a small minibus which zips round the whole borough picking up all the more vulnerable kids for our special school, but we were told that if that didn't work, then their was the option of a taxi to and from school with an escort provided.
Hi Nicki - long time no see! I've been speaking to school and transport and we've suggested a taxi with escort but the transport man seems a little dimand just keeps making sympathetic noises down the phone.
School head phoned me today and said something would be in place for Monday :T. But DS came home on his normal bus tonight :j:j but his normal driver & escort were off sick so I suspect this temporary driver and escort just tried a little harder.
I just hope he sticks to the bus for the rest of this week so he doesn't need to change Monday. If he's in a taxi on his own with an escort, he'll be home from school too quick, while i'm still on my way back from the other school with Liv!
Feelie - I'm glad you had another good day.I'm really looking forward to my gymbabes on Thursday now.

OH and Rhys having a nap then OH is putting paint on the walls of Rhys' room :j
what colour are you/oh painting it?? Although I'm not quite sure why they made a big deal about her being uninsured. Obviously she was uninsured since she was an independent midwife. Making insurance mandatory for independent midwives would be exactly the same as outlawing independent midwifery seeing as no one will provide insurance for independent midwives.
think the insurance was mentioned because they couldnt sue her for compensation because she had no insurance.
seems to have been one mistake after another in this case.
caz- could any of your in-laws come over and mind the kids??'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
But many, many friends were concerned, and told me that for them it would have been a deal breaker, so I know I'm in the minority here
It was the dealbreaker for me and my ex - he said he just couldn't see us having children and for me it was more important than us loving each other. And we're still good friends, but we were incompatible as a couple because we saw our future in vastly different ways.I have waited and text and still no reply from him?
Ok the real reason im on is really silly, i have stood on glass and a piece has broken off in my foot, obviously i cant go to hosp and its in too deep to pull out so any tips to keep me going until tom?
He's a barstool for doing this to you.
Now, your foot: are you sure you can't go to hospital? There's no one to sit in with you for a few hours?
Assuming not, and not offering medical advice, this is how I would deal with it - which is not a substitute for going to the hospital but should keep you going till you get there. If it's firmly embedded in your foot don't try to pull it out, there's lots of nerves in there. If a bit's sticking out you might try taking a pair of tweezers to it but you'll need to be a very brave soldier. If you have cotton wool and tape, plus a bandage, start rolling cotton wool into sausages and tape them all around the wound (don't cover it, make it so the wound is in a crater where the outsides are all cotton wool sausages). Then add some antiseptic cream to the middle (gently, don't push) and bandage over the whole thing. The sausages should keep the weight off the glass shard until you can get yourself to someone who'll remove it for you.
Try to get to hospital tonight, though.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Been trying to catch up for ages but keep getting distracted.
A few things I wanted to add:hammyhunter wrote: »...I am obviously not looking for medical advice but I have a stabbing pain in my breast and David has a few blisters on his bottom but isn't struggling to feed - could this be thrush?
Harley - how is your little one doing? Erin's temp is always low but I just assumed I wasn't using the thermometer right.
Elastigirl - I had my 6 week check at 6 weeks but Erin had her 8 week check (which is the full physical) at 11 weeks - no idea why it was so late as the letter they sent with the date for her check said it should be at 8 weeks.
Tigs - what is the BBCode?
The BCG is given in high risk areas. I'm in Lambeth and we have been offered it because Lambeth has so many immigrants who are at risk however in neighbouring Wandsworth they aren't offered it.Mum to DD born Oct 2009
