LOL Susan - is that your diplomatic way of saying 'I don't agree' ;)

If we were all the same it would be very boring!
No, I just wanted to acknowledge your having written an explanatory reply for me as you may not see that I clicked the thanks button but couldn't think of anything else to say about it. The only way we knew about Alice's teeth was by checking in her mouth so I have no experience of teething or teethers.
I liked your extension BTW :D
Sometimes I consider writing silly things in the extension but I thought that some people might read them.

SM hugs for you and Philip. Im not sure what to say but hope it gets sorted for you.

Harley that links driving me daft! I dont know how they do it but I keep giving it one more try.

Tigs have you got a market near you or a fabric shop? A stretchy type wrap sling may suit Andrew, Isla was in hers at about 3 days old when she weighed 7lb 6. I just got four metres of stretchy cotton jersey fabric off my market for £3 and cut to size, no sewing required and a very mse version of a kari-me :)

Are Toby & Kian wearing matching sleepsuits in this afternoons photos?
They're both gorgeous anyway. (The boys, not the sleepsuits. But the sleepsuits are cute too).

so managed to go out not over spend actually still have a few quid left in my purse (although i did buy myself a bottle of coke to share with philip but it fell out the buggy somewhere and was extremely annoyed £1 was wasted) came home to find a letter from london council tax apparently i owe them £381.05 and they wanted it in 7 days or im gonna be summoned to court in london ... well it was sent on the 21st so technically 3 days .. and i just burst in to tears this month i was finally gonna fall below 3k mark and im back worse off, also how the hell can i find £381.05 in 3 days i spent 2 hours, crying several times telling these people theres no way i can do it .. so in end the last guy told me i have to pay as much as i can in the time running up to the court summons i dnt have to go but once i recieve the letter saying about the summons im to call up and do a direct debit for the rest ... but means manchesters cancelled, valentines day is cancelled .. i have to save money for london as ive already paid for the tickets but i only have the money for the bus to and from the train station ....... im so gutted i have to keep stopping myself from crying why does this !!!!!! happen to me everything screws me over x
If they haven't actually issued a court summons yet (which it sounds like they haven't), then I would suggest writing them a letter saying I can pay x amount of pounds now and then y amount of pounds every week/month until it is paid off. If you are obviously making the effort to pay it off then a) they might not issue the summons and b) if they do then the judge is likely to be more sympathetic. When I was issued with a court summons for council tax (which was because they were incorrectly trying to charge me on a technicality when I was a student), it was ages after the original letter they sent and they'd sent me quite a few letters in the meantime. (I had been replying to them but they weren't reading the letters as they had a backlog of correspondence which is how it ended up going so far.) When I went to court it didn't actually get into court as they met up with anyone who turned up beforehand to see if they could resolve things without actually going into court.
It's awful, truly. I should be able to make a bit of noise during the day If I want. We played twister once, I fell over, and they banged up. It's a nightmare. I bet that's why my hair is falling out, I'm not joking. I noticed today my arms have broken out in Hives or something? Big red raised blotches, it's probably stress.

I just want somewhere to live where I'm not having to tiptoe around insane people. I would rent privately to get away from this but £800 a month IS A LOT, we could JUST afford it but we'd have no money for luxarys at all really, plus most places are no pets and no smokers.
If you went to the doctors about the way it's affecting your health by stress I wonder if there's any chance that they would be able to write a supporting letter to the council for you? I've no idea whether they would but if it's that bad, it's worth asking.

i cant stop it going to court and as its a council tax reminder notice i cant make an agree payment arrangement til ive shown im willing to pay ei actually pay some before the summons then i would be charged the court fee but as i cant get to london til the 13th of feb and at the its a saturday im going i cant argue against it .. although everything has been writen on my case. as its a civil matter i dont have to be there 3 people i spoke to (i wanted to hear 3 opinions although i spoke to 6 people) said the exact same thing and wrote so as added letter to it x
    :)Still searching .....:)

SM i would pay them £20 now and offer £2 a week (or something equally small ;)). Try not to worry though, i've got a big tax credits overpayment looming over me at the moment and i'm delaying acting on it cos i can't face it. It's over 1k, and i'm mightily annoyed about it because it's ex's fault.

I've been to court for rent arrears, and i offered to pay £20 a week on top of my rent to get them cleared, but they said i had to pay £3 a week. I wasn't complaining, i was silly to offer that amount anyway because it didn't allow me extra for emergencies.

It wasn't a scary courtroom either, just a few blokes at a table. The scary courtroom was when i was in court for benefit fraud LOL. (Housing benefit - the goons didn't log my info when i told them i'd done 3 hours overtime a week, and i couldn't prove i'd actually told them, so they had the cheek to take me to court after an interview under caution. It was thrown out though, the judge person was peed off with council for taking it so far cos 'd never denied doing the overtime) So recorded delivery all the way for me now haha.
