  • Just wondering-how many of you guys have got their little ones sleeping in their bed?My son was in his moses for the first week but I got so knackered feeding him I popped him in with me ( my bad! ) and hes been there ever since.Anyway-when he had his naps during the day he would only sleep on me or his dad.I got him in the habit when hes was about 4months to nap in his cot but he would never sleep long.So I let him have his naps in my bed and like magic he sleeps for between 40 mins and 2hrs.I was well chuffed! Now I'm thinking he needs to be kicked out-but how successful it would e I dont know since I'm his dummy at night. And I know someone will ask-he doesnt like normally dummies I'm afraid!

Hi Happynewmum, my LO is only 9 weeks, but we put him down to sleep in his cot each night, then when he wakes up for a feed (usually somewhere around 4-5am) I tend to feed him and let him stay in with us till it's time to get up. That way I find I get a couple of hours more sleep! I'm happy doing this for now, and hopefully when/if he starts to sleep right through, he will do the whole night in his cot.

I'm now really sure what to suggest with your LO. When you say he uses you as a dummy, is he actually feeding or sucking? Is he old enough that you could introduce some kind of 'special' toy for the cot that he can only have when he is in there?

    DKAM- yay for RyRy!!!

Weezl- I'm with you, I love a good wedding! I have three to go to this year and I am so excited about them all.

meh! It's overrated if you ask me (which you didn't!:o) I think my favourite kind of night is a cheesy end of wedding disco where your friends are all dancing, and someone's uncle is giving it a bit of Peter Kay, and there's an 8 year old who's Britney Spears and 2 small boys doing 'run and dive on your knees'. And you get into bed at 1 ish with your favourite man (DH) and never have to go 'on the pull' again because it's all right there.

But maybe you found a nice nightclub, I hope you did :)

Kristal, I need the confused smiley back! Egg box? Bag on? xxx

I'm with you !! Or friends round for dinner and a few :)

I live in a university town beside 2 of the best seaside resorts here, so there is no end of pubs and clubs to choose from, but they are full of skinny teenagers !!

Give me a quiet pub with a live band playing any day !!

oh SM, how annoying for you, we used to have a very noisy upstairs neighbour, she liked to have very loud all night parties - with kareoke. Unfortunately, her living room was above our bedroom, it was awful, I really sympathise with you!

ooh, and while I'm being chatty : I'm sure there's a few babies here similar in age to my Elmo, and I was wondering how many teeth they all have? We have none, and keep being convinced one's about to pop through - but nothing!

At the moment, she seems to be having to most symptoms to date though, but I've given up getting excited about it.

Right, must go feed the grumper.

Glam, can't help with the poll but I have a sample of Heinz Nuture (I think that's what it's called) here with a money off voucher if you want it to try :)

Sami, lovely sofa :) (ETA: Just looked at the bed too - funky chair!) Non-rash is near my shoulder.. well started there then went to under my arm and all round my back/shoulderblade. OH has rubbed Savlon into it now to stop me moaning :o
the chair looks like a cupboard door when its packed away:cool:
no idea about the rash, hope it goes soon!!

sorry no energy to catch up - had some nasty stomach bug hit me out of the blue yesterday and was up most of the night being sick :o. Wow, being sick and taking care of a new baby is not easy...still feel icky but slightly better.
