I agree with those who say use a teapot. Tea tastes much better when it's made properly.0

Havent a clue, its a tea free zone in my house cannot abide the stuff.
If visitors want tea, they have to have herbal teas or got o the garden centre cafe down the road.0 -
Apparently ............... if you put the milk in with the teabag the fat globules in the milk block the pores of the tea bag and it doesn't brew properly.
For what it's worth we have the best tea in the World around here. Yorkshire Tea (grown on sunny Ilkley Moor ) made with Harrogate Spa Water (comes out of the taps around here - the rest of have you pay for it in bottles if you want it:D).
I have a steaming mug in front of me right now. Tea for one is made in the mug - the tea bag doesn't know if it's made in a china mug or china teapot. For me, decanting it from one receptacle to another doesn't change the taste.
Tea for two or more is made in a teapot, saving all the fishing about in the cups for teabags.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - pleaseGIVE BLOOD

1. warm the pot with a little boiling water.( if your a real professional you can wear the teacozy on your head whilst doing this)
2. Tea bags and boiling water into the pot and let it brew.
3. Put milk (and sugar if you like) into the cup FIRST!
It really does affect the taste if you put milk in last.
4. Pour tea into the cup.
5. Remember that you are still wearing the cozy, smile and enjoy your tea.
And if memory serves, it is one bag for each person you are making a brew for, plus one for the pot.0 -

except that you don't know how much milk you want until you've poured the tea (can't tell how strong it is in the pot).I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Ahhh but you should know how strong it is by years of training as "the Tea boy" during your apprenticeship.(in my 1st year I learnt more about tea then engineering:D)
OR you could use this.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
Sugar in tea? Bleurgh!0

I have to agree with onlyroz re the sugar but when I make DH's I always put his sugar in with the tea bag - we're mug people
I do think that milk should be added after the tea has brewed and the tea bag has been removed as I can totally taste the difference.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
