Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

    Teapot ? What's a teapot ?
Oh yes i remember seeing one of those on the antiques roadshow.
They're the things they use to use in the olden days before they invented tea bags aren't they.

Cant believe you think its yuck? What difference does it make? I can understand not putting milk in before sugar etc but can't see a problem with putting sugar and t bag in together:confused:

Water, teabag, teabag out (I like it weak!), sugar, milk. If teabag and sugar together I worry the teabag will take some of the sweetness with it and I'm was too gluttonous for that :rotfl:

I can't believe there are 16 posts on making tea - and I have read them all!

For the record (seeing as I am here anyway), for me it is tea bag, water, squish bag remove, add milk and stir. No sugar

I don't care when the sugar goes in, but I HATE it when people put the milk in before the water!!!
My DH does this. I'm still trying to train him........

I put the milk in first, then the tea bag, then the water. I get it to the right strength before taking the tea bag out, then put the sugar in.

My Mom though, puts the sugar and tea bag in first, then the water, then the milk last.

So when she starts the tea off and I finish it, I always end up putting my sugar in twice!

If you are using a teapot, it's perfectly acceptable to put the milk in first as the tea is already brewed in the pot.

Otherwise, as you say, it is just plain wrong.

There is only ONE correct way to make a cuppa.

    1. warm the pot with a little boiling water.( if your a real professional you can wear the teacozy on your head whilst doing this)

    2. Tea bags and boiling water into the pot and let it brew.

    3. Put milk (and sugar if you like) into the cup FIRST!
It really does affect the taste if you put milk in last.

    4. Pour tea into the cup.

    5. Remember that you are still wearing the cozy, smile and enjoy your tea.
