Has it been that bad then?

Thought it was just in Norfolk and some in - Oxfordshire?- last night?

None here- not even a frost really

Doubt it will make barely any difference- thinks all in all people are spending about the same as last year (< uneducated guess!)

No, it's been pretty bad in at least half the country.

We'll see. The pubs and shops have been dead up here compared to how they were even a week ago. And this should have been the busiest weekend of the year. But the roads have been horrific, and people stayed home.

Suffolk was also badly hit....and is still very dodgy for driving around.

In our town centre Saturday, a lot less busy than I expected, I got a parking space in the closest car park with no problems at all....I usually have to visit all of them and end up in the one furthest away the last Saturday before Christmas.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

But if fatpig is around he/she was often worrying my house would wall down in a long cold winter.

So fatpig don't worry it is fine and warm. :)

We've had nest to no snow, sjay, just an hour or so north of you I think, but the roads are lethal with ice. Weirdly there seems to be more traffic thn ever before trying out our ungritted roads....??? but most people are limiting going out. Deliveries are a problem...can't remember company name, but the delivery people with the yellow and green livery braved the village yesterday, I saw them, but our dog food delivery didn't come (going to panic if it doesn't arrive to day, have arrange for it to be delivered to someone down the hill!

    Oooh, I'm jealous!

Hard to tell from the few glimpses I've had of the meedja coverage whether it was all just a bit of hype over a few isolated falls- but no, looks like it was everywhere except the SW..... as usual :(

    p!ss!n it down here today...
