Think I'm just gonna chuck a Sunday roast onto my windscreen or drive through a farmers market!

I've heard people say to put glycerine on the windscreen but don't fancy it!

extreme windscreen washer fluid on offer in Lidl 5l for £5.99 (concentrated stuff) (asda sell the ready mix extreme 5l for £4 diluted to -12C).

my dad used an old shower curtain to cover the car last year, seemed to do the job with keep ice off except need to keep an eye on it if its windy.

You lot don't know you're born.

You ought to try owning a cabriolet and having ice on both sides of the glass, see how you like that....

spray some de-icer then just scrape it off -- easy :)
  • I started putting newspaper across it last winter which saved on deicing although the best thing I found was this gel spray which prevented ice from sticking.
