Thanks everyone - I think I will go for the gardening theme. I have the time to hunt as there is only really her and my OH to finish off now. I am also going to buy her a book on quilting.Donna

Hello all :j
Angela............love the fairy in the jar.............think I just might have to do one for my friend.
junior...........don't wear yourself out.........you do seem to be doing so much and visiting Mollie..........make sure you take care of yourself:)
Well, to make up for ''no snow'' yesterday we had a load last night:eek: It did start to thaw and the trees didn't have that festive look about them but weathermen say it'll freeze tonight..........:( Thank goodness I''ve done all my bits and pieces now and haven't had to go the 20 mile journey to the bigger shops.
Been wrapping up this morning but only two things.......seemed to take me an age to decide who was going to have which of the kitchen organisers/button necklaces and notebooks that I'd done............then ran out of sellotape (lucky huge roll been hidden in another drawer).......then there was the job of finding a jiffy bag to fit them in.....I keep all the ones I have stuff in and re-use them.....well what a carry on ...........found two in the end and must have used a mile of parcel tape to make sure they all secure.........anyway, they're done now and OH posted off a few christmas cards this morning.
There's now 6 parcels to be posted (2 in jiffy bags) plus small jiffy bag............:)
Heard on the news that Post Office have cancelled their ''special delivery'' for the time being  Thats the one I needed for sons family tree scrapbook.........i need to know it'll get there safely.
Run out of wrapping paper now
Hope you're all ok and keeping warm:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

There is a tonne of meerkat stuff around at the moment what with Mr Simples being so popular.
The bookpeople have his 'autobiography'

junior - you're making me feel guilty now about mking my own cards.............still I do always buy a book of raffle tickets for stroke association, heart foundation and epilepsy association so maybe I do my bit.
Know what you mean about keeping busy..........I'm not one for watching day time tele.......would rather be doing something even if its just sitting creating (or concocting) stuff for pressies. Keeps my brain going if nothing else...............lol:rotfl:
Just take care and know where your body is telling you to slow down...........:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I did a lot of my packaging last night, but the post being delayed has stopped that, my cellophane bags are in the delivery
Took my friend xmas shopping today, as her car was in the garage getting fixed and she had been snowed in. So we got a lot of her shopping done, and I was so pleased that I have all mine done apart from a small thing for mum......
We have only to spend 10.00 on each other.
Mums hamper
Pot of gold

home made Shortbread
2 bottles of Mini Wine 1.00
Cafetiere 1.00

She has recently taken up knitting, I had got her scarf and gloves from debenhams, but she informed me that she no longer likes to wear a scarf............... she is also not so keen on smelly stuff. So I Im stuck on what to get now.....Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Another Question of Help please.
Its my DD's birthday in Jan 6th and im having her party in the local softplay on the weekend. They do everything, but im going to do my own party bags. As there will be a mix of ages and genders I was trying to think of something along the lines of pots of gold, but pots of pink.................... Any ideas when I could out in them? where would I start? Im going to make her cupcakes all pink, and with flowers on them, she will love themSaving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Esmer I ALWAYS use this site for Party stuff - party peices.co.uk I presume the boys are having blue instead.
I've had a quick look, the party bag fillers are here and the good thing is, you can buy as many as you need for most of it, not have to buy 12 when you only need 8 etc. They already have some made up if you prefer.
You can have themes too - princesses, fairies, butterflies etc. I highly recommend them
Add some marshmallows packaged in little cello bags - as fairy kisses or a tube of pink smarties or a packet of lovehearts.
