DDraig - I don't do the opinions etc. I hardly ever answer them either - do you earn much with them? I just stick to surveys and polls where you get so many points (quick and easy).

Have a nice afternoon everyone - I'm off to play Disney Monopoly with DD's - we could be here a while (I hate monopoly it takes too long) have no patience. LOL

I wouldnt break your neck to do loads but there are extra points to be had.I had to ask someone.I made an opinion topic of it,lol. Here is one of the answers I got that helped.

    you have a monthly quota of 15,000 points that you can not overcome, so for opinions: 21 view = 500 points, 1,000 points = 51 reviews, 71 reviews = 3,500 points and 5,000 points = 100 reviews. for votes: 500 votes = 500 points, 1,000 points = 1,000 votes, 2,000 votes = 2,000 points and so on.

    Hope this helps us all.xx

Hello all!! We're no longer snowed in and are safely back home. I've not been out yet in case we get snowed in elsewhere again ;)

We're getting a tree next weekend and all that remains to do is to ice the cake and post the overseas stuff. I feel extremely organised.

Slowly getting organised, didn't get to the frost fair, absolutely shattered after yesterday, see what happens 2mor.

Got 3/4 of the christmas cards done, my darling mother..... gave me the address book and piece of paper with names, - she got one over on me... she piped up, its silly 2 of us writing cards, - with only one upto date address book!!

Miss Hoodie is very exicted, we've booked to see Santa in a cave...... apparently the land rover drives you through the wood and drops u at the entrance, then they see santa, presents, entertainment etc all laid on, meant to be £60 for 2 adults, 2 children...... but we won them in a raffle..... very mse. Just booked 2day going the 1st day of school hols, treat as shes at the dentist that morning!.

Hope everyone ok, and taking good care of yourselves with the weather.

    Morning all xx

Think we will have a walk into town today and see Santa. I need to get some food supplies incase my asda delivery doesn't turn up. The snow has stopped now but the roads are icy/slippy and at their worst.

Daughter is going to write her santa letter today and we have a lantern to send it up in (though we have to be very careful with that as they have been in the news lately for being dangerous if not used carefully). Then we will write her school cards - all 33 of them:eek:

Hope everyone has a great day

Ooooh I love the idea of sending the kids letters to santa on a lantern, I may just have to pinch that as I have one lurking in the bottom of my wardrobe.

I know the feeling about cards and kids took me ages last year to get the kids to write theirs, this year I cheated, and got the Free stamps from Vista Print, with a little message on them for each of my DS's took the little one 1/2 an hour last night:D

    Morning All

Everyone has been busy. The snow has stopped here and is slowly melting away with a bit of help from the rain yesterday, hopefully it won't be too bad tomorrow as I have to go on a course for work.

Managed to wrap a few presents up yesterday and finish decorating the house. Have made my list of things still to get this week for xmas and then hopefully I should be done.

Elysia mine finish on the 17th too, so I'm hoping to have all mine done by then too... not sure if I will though.

Well plan for today is to finish a few jobs round the house and do my mountain of washing that never seems to go as I can only wash at the weekends as the Washing machine doesn't work properly and floods the kitchen if your not keeping an eye on it:eek:, and I'm going to attempt a bit of shopping at sainsburys now the snow is melting.

This afternoon DS1 need to do his Cards and want to do some homemade cards with them for teachers and family. Will also do the letters to santa and send them off with the lantern... Thanks for the idea scattymam.

Anyway better go and get stuck in I'm way behind all of you.

    Take Care
    Sarah

Plan for today - finish writing the cards, got friends coming for lunch so meant to be tidying up at the moment lol! Ironing and washing and then try and persuade DS to do his cards too - he keeps putting it off, haven't got the list for DD nursery yet - can't rely on her to tell me all her friends being only 3! Want to try and do some ebay listing too - think I'm going to be busy busy busy!

  • Hello all..I haven't posted on here for ages but have finally found a spare minute to catch up.

Christmas is going well (so far)
Finished the shopping back in November but have now wrapped all the presents, with ribbons and bows (I am a sucker for all that pretty stuff, makes the present look so much nicer). Iced my Xmas cake (1st one ever) last week too. Yesterday we put our decorations up and am now feeling very festive. Feeling so chrismassy but haven't really got anything left to do, except hand some cards out. Guess I'll have more time to enjoy it.

Cupcake business is going well. Had a few orders and am doing a fair next weekend.

Hope everyone is enjoying the season and not stessing out too much.

Very well done Welshgirl - you're way ahead of me, and I started in January.

Only wrapping and a bit of cooking to do now - more mince pies, some lemon curd, christmas biscuits and maybe some fudge.

DD has suddenly started to ask for the cereal bar maker toy that's been advertised, so I'm going to google recipes this afternoon, and make some with her - who needs a bit a plastic to press them, when you squash them down with a back of a spoon? LOL

I made fudge the other day and it did not set completely. It stayed sticky and in the end I threw it in the bin. What did I DO WRONG???
