  • Morning everyone

Feel like I've not been on here for ages! Have been at home sick all week but am officially working from home today...

The danger of being at home is that quite a lot of internet shopping seems to get done! I have been keeping an eye on the Amazon deals and there are some good bargains there if you're quick enough. I have bought quite a few presents so just need to do one last trip into town and a couple more bits off Amazon and I think I'm all done! This is the earliest I've ever been finished and it's thanks to this thread. :j

Yesterday I made some gingerbread (as a test batch) from the Waitrose recipe and it turned out really well. OH shovelled most of it down his neck when he got home from work last night so it can't have been too bad.

I have just downloaded the santa message for him, it's hilarious! :rotfl:

Well done to everyone for being so organised, and thanks to mum2one and Miss Hoodie for the challenges, will have to see what's on there that I need to sort out. Don't think I've been told to tidy my room for about 20 years!!!!

Hope everyone is well, thankfully we don't have any snow here. Have a lovely weekend. :)

    morning all-
abdonz- sorry sent you message twice-didnt know if it had sent or not yesterday as my electric went off but now looks like you have had it twice.....im not stalking you honest.

Meadowhall was heaving yesterday.....but got all but my gift boxes...no one seems to have large ones anywhere. so still on the look out for those. everything else in the house now just needs organising.

we have a heavy thick frost once again and the odd passing cloud is sprinkling us with snow but nothing is sticking around. off to check the santa list and will be back later

mum2one- tell miss hoodie my bedrooms a tip (full of all the christmas stuff at the moment), will definately have to sort that one as soon as possible. could do with her here on my back all the time i might get more done!

SNOW should have been here yesterday but nothing arrived, and it's a beautifully sunny day today but still freezing!

All Avon orders are delivered, just need to deliver some books and I'm done for another two weeks. Hurray.

I sat and made about 8 handbag charms yesterday and a pair of earrings so I'm finished with those, just need to package them nicely. Have lots of bit and pieces to do now - nothing major.

I'm on here and I should be doing housework. OH's sisters are visiting anytime  (in Birmingham for the weekend and arrive today). They haven't been here for two years. The house looks like a tip, I'm not joking it really does. Can someone kick me off please?

  • No snow here yet!

Well, have spent quite a bit so far - yesterday bought 6 pairs of shoes for next summer in the sale and most cost £8 and were ones I was originally going to buy at a higher price earlier in the year!

Today did a big shop at Mr S for christmas stuff and stocking up - £103.79!!!!!!!! Then by the magic of offers, coupons, nectar points came to £35.37 to pay!

Included a present for my brother using £3.50 Tu voucher money off cost £6.50, 2 more wine for £10 (2x8.99=£10), 1L bottle Bombay Sapphire £18 (down from £23) bottle vodka on offer for £10, goose fat has 1/3 off, chestnuts are 2 for £3 (£1.99 each), grabbed last Cadburys drinking choc for £2, no coffee whitener (must have been a run on this!), big box of Jacobs cheese biscuits for £2.

Lots more to stock up now instead of fighting the crowds at Christmas eg rice, stock pots, tea bags, cleaning stuff, tinfoil, tissues. Can't face the thought of the crowds in a few weeks time. Aiming to just need a bit of fresh stuff by then!

    Now c'mon, get going Jue!

My house is a bit of a tip with paper all over the place from my assignment. It's waiting until deadline day then will be flying around next week. Talking of which I'd better get off here too!

Been in to the radio studio to talk about our win this morning, that was a great experience too, think I enjoyed that just as much!
Then went to Mr T to double up the vouchers and bought all the Christmas alcohol - got 10 bottles of wine, a bottle of Asti and a bottle of Baileys and 24 cans of Fosters, plus an SD card to go in my parent's Christmas present and was chuffed when we got to the till - £120 of stuff that cost £30! Big result.
Have just seen on Ebay an external hard drive which my sister is asking for so keeping an eye on that during the day as it finishes later and am going to do some wrapping once dropped DD at nursery school this afternoon.
No snow here but its cold enough to - don't think I'm going to move far!!!

Well after running around like a headless chicken since quarter past ten house is done. Anyone would think the queen is coming ( I had to hide the ironing in the airing cupboard though) :D

Will fly around with the Vaccuum after I've collected DD and my neice from school in a mo. Trouble is - I don't know when OH's family are due so I have to keep the house tidy all weekend. I need a miracle - arrrrggghhhhh.

Thanks Fedup - just what I needed. ;)

SNOW!!! Been playing with DS all morning! Bit gutted though as the Christmas Lights are supposed to be being turned on tonight and now dont know whats happening! DS loved the snow although he did get to play in it earlier this year he is that much older now and thinks its great! Had to drag him in! Put his reindeer outfit on and attempted to get a decent photo whilst in the snow but he thought I was playing chase so have had to make do with what I have got! Just put a Vistaprint order in for Free photo Christmas cards and a desk calendar for Mum with a rubber stamp saying Thank You Love Connor for all the Thank you letters after Christmas! Cost £7.24 hopefully Topcashback will track but went through that link and it all went uo so had to retype the link with lovefilm on end to get it cheaper! I dont know how you all manage to get such good deals! Just need to do the large calendars now and will go through Quidco as £10 cashback on there! Although when you click through it changes the offers! Any advice would be greta on the mystery of Vistaprint!
