My order from Books Direct came, but very disappointed with the bags, know they were only £3 each but not sure now what to do with them. Had ordered 2. Books look good but shrink wrapped and can't decide whether to leave them like that or open.

Other books ordered from Amazon arrived.

Bought four boxes of chocholates in Thorntons for £5 each as know they will come in for some presents. Don't know who for yet.

Ordered the Amazon voucher for £1 instead of £6 last night, found that by accident whilst looking for the Tesco 1p thread so pleased with that.

Thats brilliant news about he amazon voucher, going back to the bags on Books direct, the ones I got are canavas style, there not the original ones that were on the offer, even on the invoice, (on mine - the top number is the bags that were ordered), then at the bottom the new bags.
    The books etc couldn't fault.

Hi elysia - thanks so much for the offer! But I think we have one from some fromage frais we bought!! lol Can you recommend any specific bath toys?

mum2one - COMPLETELY forgot to say THANK YOU for the little parcel!! It arrived safe and sound and it's perfect! I'm looking at making jewellery bits at the moment so the bits and bobs you sent will be wonderful! Give Miss Hoodie a bit thank you hug from me too!

susan - your spa break sounds wonderful!!

Reindeer food - just wanted to say, only add edible glitter. Non edible could get eaten by birds and make them ill!

Beg pardon?!? 2011?! Stop being so organised you!!! lol

    Welcome to any newbies!!!

Have a few parcels at home waiting for me today, some should be jewellery making related, so very excited!

    Clare x

Massive thank to you re the pudding, glad the parcel came safely, pass the hug along the line. Miss Hoodies been helping tonight - shes better than me, she designed 2 pendants used some amber stones and used the smaller ones for earrings, promised her when there all done, photo them, and put them on.

Another thought re rendineer food, - what we did for the xmas fete last yr, was divide the porridge in half, added spot of food colouring, then used half and half, so if the birds got it, it would be safe to eat.

Hope the parcels turned out to be the jewellery etc xx

Yes mine were canvas not the faux leather Mum2one.

Susan, I think I will have to use as pamper bags, not got much imagination but your finds in B&M are brilliant. I am going to have to learn fast, I wouldn't have thought of splitting the packs.

I have read a lot about poundland. Is that different to poundworld? We have poundworld within reasonable travelling distance but I don't know of a poundland.

Susan. You can get edible glitter from ebay in loads of colours.

CDsmiler. - I've just had a quick peep. This is great - Elysia played with hers for years, I probably threw it out when she was four or five, so I do mean years. Excellent value for money.

Def agree re the bath toy, Miss Hoodie loved hers, best thing was if like us shower over the bath, u don't need to move it to sort yourselves out. xx

    Hi Piglet

I find with my 3 as they are so excited christmas eve that I have always allowed them to open the one present each and it calms them down a bit so they do actually go to sleep! but this year will hopefully be doing the xmas eve hamper to make it more of a treat:D

Sorry to hear you are on your own I am to but we can make this xmas extra special for the little ones by helping one another and sharing ideas and all our kids will have a great christmas no matter what else is going on in there lives:D

Ive been MIA for a few days as my Grandad was rushed to hospital, had to have a huge operation and was on a ventilator for a few days. Thankfullly he is off that now but is still very, very poorly :(
It is his Birthday on the 28th but because he is in the ICU we wont be able to take him any cards or presents.

I have just ordered my Vistaprint things got 2 wall calendars, a pen and a canvas bag for free and also ordered some return labels and a desk calendar. All in all postage and their photo uploading fee it came to £20.09 still not bad I dont think. I couldnt get the cashback though as when I went through there all the prcies went up????

    Everybody is doing great x

Sorry to hear about your Grandad xx

I had similar thing with Vistaprint, decided to order some more freebie bits, went all the way through and it was saying pp was going to be £2.99, then at checkout went to pay by Paypal and it came up saying pp was now £4.96. I dont think the things I was ordering were worth paying that for really so didnt bother. Had email from them this morning saying I had left items in my basket so thought I would go on a see if the pp was still the same and they had added prices for everything except the free pen. All the other items were supposed to be free (only ordered 4 items, some note cards, headed note paper, xmas cards and the pen). Have deleted them all from the basket and left it. I am sure last time I ordered free stuff I only paid £2.99 pp.
