Well it's been a while since I've been on here! :D Been very busy with everything, but definitely getting excited about Christmas!
Bought my nephew a lovely Thomas (the tank engine) apron thing today so think I will make a nice 'bucket' of crafty things for him. Any ideas on places to buy crafty things for a two year old?? He loves painting and is often sticking things and drawing things at playgroups.. thanks!

Wilkinsons have loads of crafty bits which my 2yr old loves, also ELC has 20% off at the moment :) Sorry i am a lurker on this thread ;)

Well OH has put me to shame today - he has sorted out his wardrobe, a pile of things to sell/charity shop - me I've been revising for my next course so unfortunately haven't had five minutes to do anything at all Christmassy or challengy. I do know I have my Christmas cards and I need OH to go in the attic to see what paper we already have. I have a couple of things to go in there, need to sort the ebay stuff out and put the summer listing items away until Feb time! I have 5 parcels to wrap to post that have sold over the weekend, so the Christmas ebay fund is coming along nicely. Saw a Nintendo ds in one of the cash generator type shops last week for £55 so am going for a closer look this week. Want one for DD but she is only 3 and I want to put away for her - don't know whether she will still be too young at Christmas, what are your opinions?
Been to the local show today, was lovely walking around - I took a peek at the home produce stall to see what the lady had put in her tomato chutney, just need to find a recipe now!

foxy -don't know much about nintendos but my grandsons 3 and is forever on the Wii playing games and he doesn't really understand quite what he's supposed to do.........just sits there looking at the screen pressing buttons.......loads of other toys he could play with that I think would be more 'creative' but maybe its just me being a bit ''dated''.

susan - hate that when new medication throws you off balance (for want of a better word).....hope it all adjusts soon. Still, like you say.....on the plus side.....no housework:j (tell myself that when my back gives me jip............lol)

Foxy - my Neice had a DS at three - she couldn't work it! Just a waste of £100 really!!! She broke it by shoving bits of paper where the cartridges go.

If you want a Wii style game - buy the VSmile Motion from V tech. They are perfect for that age. My DD learnt so much from them as they are educational as well as fun. They also to do one here that is portable like a DS (no TV needed) DD2 had both.

They are brilliant! I can't recommend them enough!!!!!

My son turns 3 just before Christmas and I don't think he'd be able to play a DS properly enough to make it worthwhile getting him one. We have just bought him the VSmile Motion though so I'm glad to see it being recommended :D We got ours from a car boot sale for a couple of pounds, looks brand new!
