    Hello all :j

Had a look in my ''stash'' room this morning and I'm about there for christmas presents except the ones that nees sweets or chocolate adding to them.
So, started covering two of the 4 shoe boxes OH had brought home the other week. Everyones shoe box will be red this year due to bargain roll of red textured paper in the charity shop !!
Oh and need to make some sort of holder for the bag charms I've done and try and concoct a verse of some sort.................oh and need to get a little angel - there was a verse on this board somewhere about keeping an angel in your pocket to keep you safe. Copied the verse out but can't remember where I got it from. Oh eck........better stop before I think of anything else................lol:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    MUCH better day today! :D

OH and I were both in the "zone" and have had a busy "doing" day - I've had a good clearout of the kids bedrooms, got rid of a load of old stuff to make way for santa's goodies ;) Not much I can put on ebay, as most stuff they have outgrown has been too well loved, but I've saved a few bits for the younger kids and have a couple of games without instructions that I shall pass onto a friend.

Between us we've also done some batch cooking and filled up the freezer, tackled a few diy jobs that needed doing and I've replied to a few outstanding emails from friends who were starting to think I had left the country!! We've also sorted out a big box of stuff from the garage to put on ebay.......should be about £200 worth of stuff there :) and we've found some old cd's and dvd's to sell as well.

I've started thinking about xmas gifts for the wider family - have decided to make a "bath time" hamper for the youngest ones with a soft fluffy towel, some sort of wash mitt, bath toys.......that sort of thing. and for the toddlers of the family I'm going to do a "winter weather" basket with a hat, scarf and gloves, maybe a cardi or jumper, a handheld windmill......not sure what else to put in, need to give it some thought. Have also been inspired for the pre teen baskets by a thread I found on here - I'm going to make them sweetie hampers! Might add a few little bits and pieces - lip gloss, hairbands...etc for the girls. Anyone have an ideas for little extras for the boys though (11 and 13)??? ALWAYS struggle with the older boys!!!

So a pretty good day, a million times better than the chaos of yesterday!!! So good in fact that I am treating myself to some cider and chocolate this evening :D

Very well done Supergirl - It's amazing how different two days can be! I'm glad you're all organised. Do the boys have I-pods? If they do how about an I Tunes gift voucher. Or are they into Dr Who or Top gear etc - get some themed stationary. Not very exciting though.;)

That's a great idea - one has an ipod, not sure about the other - will ask my sil. I like the idea of the themed stationery - one is crazy about footie and I saw some footie shaped pencil sharpeners in Tesco the other day, I'm sure there will be other footie related things as well........ thank you!

Have also remembered they had animal umbellas in Matalan for £3, might get those for the winter weather baskets and perhaps a weather based story book from the works.......the ideas are really flowing now - must be the promise of cider later ;)

Thanks I do lurk a lot but I have been following the challenges and have done most of them so far lol I do love christmas as I start getting organised in January (as most of us MSE'rs do) but it drives everyone around me nuts but I know I can sit back and enjoy the run up to christmas while they run around like headless chickens lol
