    Hello all :j

I'm that excited !!! Neighbour brought round the craft' drawers that her grandad made..........only problem she took the drawers out first and told me its a bit of a puzzle working out which one goes where -there's 13 of them !! With it being hand made they're not 'uniform'.........I know I haven't quite got it right but they're in.............it's stood in comp room but where it is the carpet doesn't touch the wall so it wobbles  Going to have to find a different place for it which means shifting loads of stuff about.............. mind you I've a lot of storage boxes (stackable canvas sort from woolworths) and couldn't tell you whats in them so they could go upstairs out of the way. Need to paint the drawers before I can use them as well so got my work cut out. Just as well I'm more or less 'organised' in the pressie dept. - sat and painted 4 pebbles with the word Smile on them this morning so thats another little 'freebie' pressie that can go in the shoe boxes................lol:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hi all.

So sorry you're not well Susan - If I lived closer I'd definately come and craft with you - I have no room here. I've been making Christmas cards today on a tray! :eek:They also do those pots in a bigger size - checkout the website - they had pastel colours too, but you could spray them. ;)

Sugarspun - you're putting us all to shame!

Mary - well done with all you've done! You've done brilliantly.

    Thanks Dramarama xxx

Picked up my order (christmas pressies for DD2) today. The invoice date was Wednesday - so I must have placed my order just after midnight not before. I phoned Tesco and they are adding 1,000 clubcard points to my account (that's worth £10 in cash or £40 in deals) so it was worth phoning. :D

No slowing down!! I am on a ROLL!!!!

Jam-making today, my chutney yesterday was a riotous success despite only making half the amount I was expecting. And I'm going to re-pillage my wardrobe and re-stock my ebay box. I'm never sure whether it's better to wait to list everything till a few days before I go to the UK and then post everything from there (using my baggage allowance on the way in for ebay parcels and the way out for the entire contents of Tesco) or else to have higher postage charges and just do stuff as and when.

Cherries are now on the stove and clean jars drying in the oven. I feel like such a homemaker :rotfl:

:rotfl: I made chutney yesterday too, and so did chasingsunshine and a bunch of my friends - it was such a weird day, whenever I stopped and went online somebody new was talking about making chutney. Must have been the day for it.

My jam seems to have turned out well, although again there's not a massive amount of it - three 200g-ish jars from 750g fruit and a bag of sugar.

Well it's been a while since I've been on here! :D Been very busy with everything, but definitely getting excited about Christmas!
Bought my nephew a lovely Thomas (the tank engine) apron thing today so think I will make a nice 'bucket' of crafty things for him. Any ideas on places to buy crafty things for a two year old?? He loves painting and is often sticking things and drawing things at playgroups.. thanks!

I've just had a huge unintentional shopping spree!
I only went out to by DS some new shoes and I ended up buying him lots of Christmas prezzies too! We called in to ToysRus and ended up buying a bucket of plastic farm animals, another bucket of sea creatures (he loves animal toys), a huge realistic foam T-Rex and a foam shark. They were £10 each, but they are lovely toys and he chose them himself (I'm sure he'll have forgotten about them by Christmas though, he's only2!). Then we went in Mothercare and I spotted a dinosaur set reduced from £12 to £4.80 so I snapped that up too :)

Just been reading the comments about chutney, guess what ...... I'm about to make some Christmas chutney! I finally found some white wine vinegar so I'm going to give it a go this evening. It's my first go at making chutney so wish me luck!

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend :D
