I'm not sure if they still do them as DD2 is nearly 8 now. I bought her a ride on scooter thing. This had a rocking base (like rocking horse). This came off and on so you could use with or without. It had a frame around to stop baby falling out. It had electronic toys to play with at the front where steering wheel would be. It had a parental handle so you could push and take her for walks. When she grew out of that, all the handle and frame came off and she could scoot it on her own. It was well used from 1 - 3.

Edited to add: Found one. This one is very basic but you get the idea.

    HTH.

Our Christmas tradition stemmed from when I was about 16, Mum found out I used to open Christmas presents and wrap them back up. It was decided that we could open one present (as my youngest sister by then knew they weren't off santa) on Christmas eve. Over the years it has changed to we buy each other a present for a fiver. Then it got to £10. After being on here just before Christmas (signed up but didn't join the forums until mid December). I had made flannel cupcakes, snowman soup, snowballs and pots of gold. It was decided this year we would mainly try and do Home Made pressies for Christmas eve!

I've only been through a handful of pages so far (going from the end) but have already enjoyed it.
I got sidetracked by a link http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/search/label/tutorials and started reading that.

So many great ideas, i think i'll have to join the bandwagon - i was organised for christmas last year and it felt so good and everything was so easy.

    Hiya Gemmy. Welcome, join in.

I love that site too. Only a couple of weeks ago, I posted about the paper gift bags - just scroll down the page on the link a bit.

    Hello all :j

cdsmiler -love the poem-thanks for that.......think I can use that for someone:T

Well, not done a lot today except cover a shoe box with red textured paper for christmas pressies and neighbour has just brough round a wicker basket I can use for someone.
Been a bit too organised this year I think.in some ways anyhow.......youngest sons girlfriend has a birthday at christmas so I was going great guns with handbag charms, button necklaces and phone charms..........and what do you know -they've now parted company
I can see me wearing the button necklace and maybe filter extra bits to other females on my list so its not the end of the world as far as that goes and son is fine about it all and having major de-clutter of his flat (much needed!)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Bought another present today - a coffee filter with 25% off in Sainsbugs for £7.50 and a Bodum one to go in mum's kitchen hamper. Mum's kitchen hamper is nearly there now. Not much left to buy for it

Also bought 4 Christmas pudding mini pudding bowls ready to use in Oct

Also bought 2 lovely photo frames for £1.75 each at 50% at that price thought about giving one away as a present then decided to use them to update my photo frames. now I think I'm keeping one and using the other one for mum and will get a nice photo when we are away later in the year

    Hi everyone

Wrapped up OH's present and my Granddaughter's presents, its their birthdays on Friday. Cut out eight teddy bears this afternoon and sewed one up but havent stuffed it yet. Going to wait till they are all done and do them all together. Think I will give one of them to my Granddaughter for Xmas as the boys all have coloured teddies. So that will be another present sorted. Will get them something else to go with them though.

Hiya KMS. Did you have a nice birthday?

For the Fleece - You just get a some fleece material. If it's large you cut little sections around the edge (depends how long you want the fringe). Three inches deep for example, cut another an inch away and the same depth. Once that is done all the way around, simply start at a corner and knot two of the flaps together. Work around the fleece.

If the fleece is patchwork (large squares obviously not tiny ones) You would cut around the edges exactly the same but you would knot to join two peices of material together first, then work around the edges (as in the first paragraph).

I hope that makes sense. I can visualise what you do but it's a bit difficult explaining it. :o
