We've tempted fate, booked the holiday last night, bit of a pick me up and incentive, were off back to Tunisia, got 11 nights all in, same hotel, know we were going for 2 weeks originally, but its just worked out at £100 more...... and were guarenteed the weather.
The other weird bit on my to do list for today was to ring 2 gyms, these new fangled ones - the women only and the machines have built in resistance, you only do a 30min circuit..... think it must of been the shock of that.
The mobality scooter, I haven't used one for 6 yrs, our shop mobility is on the main multi story, so usually get dad to drop me one end of town, then when were done, I buy him a coffee and cake, then he gets the car.
i needed l-plates, trying to turn the corner inside the bank, went straight into the wall nearly went thought the safety glass....... in Evans, - never send a man in looking for shorts, our Evans store is so small I parked just inside so I send him around, he comes back with a pair of white shorts in a size 14........ been told jersey material shorts, elastic or drawstring waist - size 26....... the poor assistant had to fetch him a pair.
This is a classic - as he's always running me around, when we go to town I always treat us to a muffin and and coffee at Cafe nero, (not every week - go into town - usually once in 3 weeks), gave him the purse, he's in the queue, he shouts what do you want to drink, me - large tea please, then he turns around again and says "what do I normally drink in here, you always get it"......I was glad there was a toilet..... checked the floor first!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello all :j
mum2one - not sure where that 98p shop was but it was really good.........oh I could kick myself for not getting more stuff........
Still, went into town this morning and got two beaded bracelets from the charity shop for 50p plus wrist warmer -£1 and a beautiful purple mix scarf -also £1.
All these challenges............. where do I start ??
Well computer already done,(though drawers seem to be permantly in a state of chaos!- christmas cards done -well most of them-bound to need more. Have to have a think about all the others -especially the egg and cress thing...............:rotfl:
Our lad had a lot of his stuff brought round this afternoon and the bits he doesn't want he's given to be
socks and scarf -brand new
torch -never been used
Reggae cook book -brand new (just the thing for a lad we used to look after)
Brand new soap bag
£10 book token -(think he wants to swap than for £10)
Little monkey key ring
He insists he doesn't want them and they'll save me a bit on grandsons christmas/birthday stuff.:j especially as I had to go to the bank and have a sort out this morning...............:o
Now have two shoe boxes to cover -one with music wrapping paper I got for oldest son -the other one I think I'll use some wacky paper to cover with.
Must make more button necklaces as well..........already given two away for birthdays -both people were thrilled with them so I must be doing something right..........lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi
Hope works has sorted itself out and gone a bit quiter, don't worry about the length of the challenge, always put a wack on - treat it as a pick and mix......!!
Good luck on the basket hunt, sounds daft but maybe car boot sales - you might land lucky xx
Me again, just remebered I'd read on one of the other threads - a lady got some reduced from Dunelm, 75p small ones, £1.50 ish med...... maybe worth a try if you have a local one, or charity shops.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
(((Mum2One))) hope your knee is feeling better soon.
Re Jars: I saw a book in The Works the other day in the craft section called Jazzy Jars (or something like that!) - it was all about decorating jars (and filling them) for gifts - they had covered some in fabric, paper and all sort - well worth a look, I think it was about £1.99.Thrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -

Oh brill - I bet DD2 would like that game! I'll have to switch brands of bread!
I have just picked up my bargains of the century! I bought my two four year old neices a scooter each from Tesco's. £40 each to start, but reduced, and with a £10 off voucher (glitch) they came to less than £4 each. :j Oh happy days. :rotfl:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Elysia you can get the electronic game, microphones and a few other bits all you need is 15 tokens plus £1, and as you would buy bread its not anything extra on the weekly shop. I have found Iceland doing to loaves for £1.50 (White and brown), you also get them on the muffins ( 2 for £1), crumpets (2 for £1) and Pancakes (2 for £1) so you soon get enough tokens especially if you go through bread like we do LOL:rotfl:
Here's the link
http://www.kingsmillsgottalent.co.uk/
Sainsburys have the offers on too but they want £2 for 2 loaves.
Game looks good, it has buzzers and all sorts, thinks the gist of it is you pick a card and it tells you what your talent is and you have to try and do it??? should be fun on boxing day:D
:D:D:D:D
